I got hlguard on my server, Its crap, I get guys onthere 13-0 and killing three peeps in a row with hs. How do I stop this when Barrysworld, odnt support any selfadministration of servers? Is there a sly way of uploading some better than hlguard mod? Or, are the people getting away with it beyond reach. Bring on steam I say with 1,6 and no cheaters, god its frustrating

VAC, while great (well, awesome), hasn't been updated very recently (to my knowledge, anyways). If you're like I am, you constantly go to cheat sites (not just OGC), and see what type of new cheats are out (not to use them, but to be aware, obviously).



There are currently alot of aimbots/opengl hacks out that bypass VAC. While none of them to my knowledge have the features like OGC hacks, they are still very harmful.

OMG! I have beendadmining for a bit now, and I have extensively looked aorund for cheat sites to find out what works oin my server, I havent found a single one. I thin k im too naive, but typing CS CHeats inmost search engines gives you sweet fa.

Uhh k, for one, 3 headshots in a row and 13-0 does NOT mean someone is cheating. This is another thing I hate. These people you 'saw' may have been cheating, but in most cases people are not. I get accused of hacking alot JUST because of my score. Most of the time I have to use weapons that I'm a bit lacking in (like scout) so I don't get banned because some asshole thinks I cheat, but even then I'll have my good days with that weapon and still get accused/banned.



You sound like I used to when I was a newb. I used to think everyone cheated 'till I realized I just sucked nuts at CS. Now I may be wrong, but to me it sounds like you think you see ALOT of cheaters... well let me tell you... there isn't. There are some really skilled people out there.



Also, I wouldn't go around calling HLGuard crap... You should look at what it has done for CS (and other HL mods) before you go saying stuff like that.



And one more thing, from my past experience, searching for cs cheats on a search engine wont get you anywhere except like 1.0 or 1.3 cheats. I know of a few sites that update VAC Proof cheats often (I wont post them here).

um 3 headshots in a row might not be cheating... but 3 headshots in a row everyone and eventually a couple of headshots through walls , and someone who swings his knife to go faster is a cheater. I think.

There's no way in hell you can tell someone is cheating just from the number of headshots they get. Anyone who thinks that is an idiot.



Headshots alone do not suggest cheating. Things like instant kills around corners (even though most good cs player can easily find you with sounds and purely by guessing your location) and ``flicking'' kills (their aim flicks from enemy to enemy in first person when multiple enemies are on screen usually resulting in the headshot deaths)



I'd say the only true forms of cheating you can see are things like speed hacks and more obvious cheats. Wallhacks can be mistaken for kills that people make when they obviously know where you are just from the sounds/radar and places you're likely to be. Shooting at places people tend to be is often used in cs and often accounts for the majority of ``cheaters'' people think they see.

I always watch people in first person to see if they're hacking. most of the time they're just damn good.
