LAN Shoot-out

we have stories of this type of thing going on all the time here in Sydney, Australia. Its hard to go to a lan place nowadays without being threatened with violence at least once about you killing somebody. This type of behaviour is slowly getting out of hand, and im thinking that pretty soon the government is going to have to step in and ban public lan places because the reports of violence to the police are increasing in number. If and when that happens, its going to be a disappointment to all us gamers who just want to play the game with relatively low ping and with a group of friends who otherwise cant play competitively on a internet server because of bandwidth limitations.



Keep the shooting in the game, dont bring it out to real life.

There are some sad people out there. I agree with Night Hawk 100%, Its ashame how jokes can be made about such a serious incident over such a silly situation. Some people just cant understand the real value of life and that CS isn't just about kills, but yet strategy and tactics. But nonetheless, kids will play and do what they please. Later

Yes, these stupid jokes are always stupid. It doesn't make them any less stupid simply because no one was killed, as the same idiotic jokes were told when some crazy CS player killed 16 people. "LOL AIMBOT."



Or the people who submit the WTC image of Osama getting a "headshot" on the USA. Why do we still get this time submitted to us for POTD? It was made on 9/11 and it hasn't gotten any funnier yet.

People get shot and people die. When there's so much of this crap on the news every day, because its the only thing that catches our attention (apparently) and you know how ratings matter, you ask us to feel when we hear a bit more of it?



If you're gonna have something like this posted on CSN and you don't wanna see how people actually feel about it then it's not our problem maybe you should lock the doors and stay in your room. People like making jokes and some people here apparently think its funny to make jokes about leg shots.



So tell them their jokes aren't funny and why but don't bitch because they don't feel like acting depressed because some anonymous person was shot in the leg today over a game. If the situation relates to the person in some way or perhaps they think they can learn from this let them use their own judgment not have yours forced upon them.



Perhaps the people making these jokes just feel like joking around and they still are thinking about the issue and have taken something from it. You don't seriously think their whole frame of mind revolves around the idea of "haha, guy got shot in the leg what a noob". I can't believe people say it's sickening to crack a joke about something like this when comedians do this all the time and I really doubt you'd give it a second thought. From Jay Leno's writers

I loved how a former clanmate of mine was laughing it up on 9/11 in IRC in the clan chhanel. meanwhile, I'm trying to find 5 friends of mine that worked in the downtown area.



As for the whole LAN violence issue, it starts out with someone being a sore loser and not knowing how to deal with their anger/issues correctly. And mostly it's these kids who try to act like they're thugs. Bring your weapon to a LAN, try to play other people for money, hack, etc. Someone gets pissed off, and of course you know there's going to be a fight. You can't blame the game for this one, you can only blame the stupid morons who play the game.

These people know full well the difference between in game violence and real violence. Are you really trying to tell me that California was some kind of violence free utopia before lan gaming came around? You put lan cafes or whatever in a place where gun crime is very high and many people carry concealed weapons and this kin dof thing is going to happen. Its not the gaming its the all gun and gang culture.

Here we have another example of why you should stay home and play this game......Besides, playing at home allows you the use of the ESCAPE button......Push it once, then tell your Mommy that some nasty player named " I_Ownz_Joo " is causing you to have violent tendencys that you find uncontrollable......Your Mom, being the Wise one with years of experience dealing with just this kind of individual, will track the offensive Perp to his residence, survey the situation, plan an attack, mobilze her troops and take the little bastard out while not even breaking a nail........All in a days work for the MOM....LOL

Happens in Canada too like 3 times. This happend a few time in Garden Grove as I'm sure Rizzah can attest to, although in Garbage grove as it is usally called it is Asian gangs that have the problem. The only reason the gameing centers have this problem is that nothing else is open and is a center for kids to gather.

LOL..i didn't think Florida had Computors, just Gators and Swamp land..Come to think of it, didn't Florida BAN computors because of the Election problem a few years back?....Something to do with CHADS?????? Gators have a hard time using a Mouse, they don't have opposing thumbs...

This is why stats programs should be weighted towards objectives over Kill to Death and Kills per Minute. Encourage people to go defuse the hostages, plant the VIP, rescue the bomb. :P

This might even speed up the pace of the game.
