    Family God Interview

If 2002 was year of the rat, then 2003 is apparently the year of the interview. This is my zodiac calendar and my post so silenco por favor (which is Spanish for my way or the highway). To prove this fact, 3DFilmMaker.com has conducted an interview with The Family God and his associate Larson McColl. The interview focuses on the technology behind his movies, such as this little piece of trivia:
One thing that will be cool about your newer films will be the "Non-PhotoRealistic Rendering" technology developed for them. Can you tell us abit about this?

Daniel: Easy - it makes your film look less like a video game, and more like a hand-drawn creation. Its something more pleasing to the eye, and it also allows the film to appear more "high budget" than usual.
Sound like something you'd be interested in viewing? Head on over and get immersed in the life of a techie.

That NPR looks pretty cool, reminds me of that French game XIII that's currently being developed.

Those screenshots of Half-Life made me a little nostalgic..

Wow that tech demo was awesome. I can't wait to see that machanima 2.0 or whatever in a real movie.

It would be nice if they updated the csmovies site, but untill then, csflicks.com is much better.

I know I'll get flamed to hell for this but why do people use the CS engine to make movies instead of say...a movie camera?

Weren't you one of the original supporters of his idea on the CS Crossfire, you crazy hick?

Also, because cameras and actors cost more for results that look crappier.

how old was I when I was on the crossfire? 13?

                      I've changed alot since then

I think making a few films is good fun, but making an entire industry out of it seems...far fetched...

hardly an entire industry... more like a group of friends who like experimenting. Machinima is not an industry, it's simply a cheaper way to make animated films. but anyway... lets not be uncivilized.. I'll make a real documentary about you and how you got murdered... oh wait...

btw I answered those questions in the interview

it's no offense or anything....I just randomly flamed you, because it makes me feel good about myself.

Very interesting article, enjoyed reading it quite a bit.

Good luck Daniel in this project of yours... I'll be looking forward to seeing it completed. :)
