VAC/HLAmp Update

I probably shouldn't post this here... but if you get banned and want to save $10 just buy Blue Shift. Most stores have it for $10 cuz it suxorz. What is cool about it is that the CD Key works for Half-Life/Variants as well. I lost my CD Case during a move and when CS was updated to 1.5 you couldn't use the CD Key on 2 computers at the same time anymore. My wife and I are avid CS Addicts (Hi... my name is Shawn and I am Counter-Addicted) and a new CD Key was necessary.



I am feeling long winded this morning so I also wanted to add that Mr. Jensen should add a curse word filter to these comments. I just wonder how many 10 year olds read them. I am a skilled php developer and could hold your hand through the code rizzuh... It might even turn me on. LOL

I'd like to point out that Cheating-Death doesn't ban people from Counter-Strike for listening to music while in-game.

1) im not sure which other weapons penetrate 2 brushes (the correct term btw ;D). i remember the AWM, M249 and SCOUT penetrate 2 brushes. all the other weapons draw decals on the other side of the brush ,but bullet doesnt actually penetrate!

2) well how often do u get spammed through the wall by someone? i do quite often. some ppl dont understand that when u start spraying a wall, you are doing speculative shooting (or probing) to hear if youve hit someone on the other side.

3) yes, but HLAMP has got a nifty menu within the game.

I'll agree, HLAMP is extremely useful with winamp, otherwise I would have to make sure all of those keys are unbound, etc., etc. Plus, this installation takes about 30 seconds. Literally, you lazy fools.

Don't say we're lazy if you can't even unbind some keys. And even if they are bound to something, so what? As long as it isn't something vital like movement, or shoot, you're fine.

hrmm i got the same problem, banned till 2008, but i don't use hlamp.. the only script i use is rizzuh's buy script, and nada bsides that.. will uninstalling the buy script get me unbanned too?? thx in advance

I just got banned at 5:00 A.M in the middle of a pug. I don't use HLAMP and don't have hacks. My problem I think has to do with rivatuner, ATI, and the crappy ATI drivers. While in the game I recieved a message through AIM that took me out of the 100 hertz on my monitor, I try alt+tabbing back into CS but because ATI drivers are horrible it takes like 5 min, no idea what it does during that time. So I rebooted, this is the third time I have had to do this because my computer freezes up everytime I recieve an IM and forget to turn on my away message. So, after the reboot I tried getting back into the game and recieved the 2008 you have been banned for cheating. Anyone else have an ATI and have had the same kinda problem? I'm guessing during the time it screws up, the memory gets corrupted, and valve is picking that up as a cheat. If this is the case, how do you get in contact with eric to tell him the problem and fix it?

I have an AIW Radeon and everything was fine and dandy on 7/02 when I was playing CS. Then I tried it yesterday morning and it gave me the message of me being banned until 2008. Now what I don't understand is that the only mod that I had installed for CS was that of Fusion Pack 10. Can it be that VAC is picking this up as somesort of cheat too? I don't use cheats and when I used my friends serial# it banned his too. I don't mind if cheaters are banned, but damn 5 whole years for not doing a damn thing, that's very very excessive. Is there anyway that you can be unbanned cause I think paying for new keys sucks when you already payed for your copy and it wasn't your fault you got banned.

I too have been band. i do not know how it happend, but i belive it was down to when a server i was on crashed.



The server crashed, when it came up i tried to reconnect wouldnt reconnect after connecting through teh console i noticed... you have been band untill 2008.



This is completly perposterious, what the hell is valve playing at???
