OMG I have had two cd keys and both were banned because of HLamp. I had to go out and buy a whole new counter-strike. Oh well atleast I can play counter-strike again!

yeah i just got banned for having a so called "hack" on my computer...now i cant play cs till 2007-5-03 or something...is there a way to take me off ban list or do i have to go and get a new cd key?Comment

Hi, I know that I did not cheat in Counter-strike... i was banned... and it says i was banned till 2008! dood i Bought the friggin thing and now im banned even though i never hacked! My won ID is 1986527 SOMEONE help me!!Comment

herro guyz this is my first post,so i feel kinda previlaged to post amongst you guyz:)...
but i have a prob understanding this hlamp being banned.ok it is using a .dll which would mean that it can be exploited by haxors to load their cheats through it but im not sure if its posible or not .
2ndly its nice of VAC just decide to thrust upon the cs community with the latest anticheat which is a good thing but banning the cs community for using hlamp is a step back for convienience..and banning ppl without the knowledge of using hlamp that is classified as cheat is totally wrong.i mean i just found out today that using hlamp will get me banned for 5 years,and that is 3 weeks later.
Im sure there is still alot of cs players out there still totally oblivious to that fact using hlamp will get them banned.
so im here to ask as to what is the reason to ban hlamp ? and what happens to the unfortunate and unlucky ppl out there who are banned although might not have cheated at all but simply made the mistake of using hlamp?
