VAC/HLAmp Update

HLAmp isnt a big deal.Its the fact they fix crap for Winblows users the next day but leave Linux users in the air.I mean wtf.Why cant they port HL/CS to Linux so they dont keep screwing us non-windows users time and time again.Cept now they are going to ban us for 4 years? For using something thats not windows. I hope Bill Gates rots in hell

Do what i do. Open winamp, make a playlist, then open cs and play. I don't see any use in Hlamp. It's to complicated and takes 10 years to install. That's just my opinion.

Disk2 has no control over VAC or what it looks for, therefore he is not to blame. Valve shouldnt be blamed either though. They are doing their best to try and keep cheaters out of the game.

Bottom line: You dont need HLamp to listen to music while in the game, so when VAC detects a plugin you DONT need, its your own damn fault.

You won't get banned till 2008 for using HLAMP, I hope people realise that. Some people were banned till November for it. But till 2008 is from repeated violations, not just one.



And nice program Disk2. I hate to say it but having VAC ignore HLAmp would be bad because cheat programs could find a way to fool VAC into thinking it's just HLAmp. So if any cheats use similiar methods then blame the cheat coders, not Disk2 or VALVe for the end of this wonderful program or for your being banned.



Cheat programmers ruin everything. Why can't we have law suits against them already? If they cause innocent bans, and programs like HLAmp to no longer be useable, it's sure as hell not VALVe's fault. VALVe surely looses money on fighting cheats and game sales due to these cheaters too! Trace some down and slap them with lawsuits and the others will slowly back off. Sorry to sound like the RIAA here but cheaters really ruin this game sometimes, and not just by cheating, but because it's their fault HLirc doesn't work, HLAmp won't work, Linux users are unable to play and false detections are common. Don't blame VALVe anymore, blame the lame cheat programmers/"hackers".

1) You're ignorant. AWP penetrates 2 walls max. If you hadn't realized that, why are you playing matches?

2) If it were possible to be AWPed through 5 walls in a match, you would need VAC to know someone was hacking?

3) VAC doesn't keep hackers away. It's as useful as HLAmp, which is next to useless (Winamp comes preset with keyboard hotkeys to navigate through your playlist, much like HLAmp, except without all the installing and you don't get banned from games).

Hey Disk2, for some strange reason... i was to stupid to find out why i was getting kicked by VAC, but it happened 5 times, and i never got banned... it just said next time i will, next time i will, etc... is that a bug in VAC,i hope it is!!!! SO THEY CAN BURN IN HELL FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN A DESERT LIKE ME AND HAVE NO OTHER LIFE!!!!!
