Camping Pwns!

I was scrimming lpk.us one day on cs_militia (they were prolly tired of de_ maps :P), and being bored I went and rushed the rocks.



...And they completely ignored me, and I was able to headshot three of em, before they turned around and got me. My team was able to clean up the other two.



Goes to show you some of the obvious spots trick the most experienced CT players. (No need to check there, no one is fucking noob enough to be there.)

IMO some of the best camping spots in the game are only reachable via teamwork (i.e. boosting)



Some of them are pretty well known (cliff on de_nuke) but many of them are not. You can setup one man in a high-danger area and give him some safety because his position is unexpected.



Example: boost a guy onto the rafters in the ramp room of de_nuke. Have him lean over the side away from the T entrance and have the other guy fall back to cover only those who actually go downstairs.



Other examples are some of the crates on de_clan1_mill and de_clan2_fire, both excellent boosting maps.



And there are even other unexpected positions on other maps. Atop the crate at the exit to B tunnel on de_dust2. In the bombsite on de_inferno... atop the tallest crate... looking at the 2nd-story hallway, obscured by the vines.



Believe it or not, camping can often be considered a skill. It takes just a n00b to sit in some dark corner. But it takes a team of good players to boost and set up an awesome defense.

This sums up the issue of camping quite nicely, though i'm sure it's not in the way you imagined.

Hehehe, I like to get a boost in assault onto this light in the back of the hostage room that's very high. (Person 1 boosts you on hostage and then person 2 gets on person one and you get on person 2 and jump on the light) But only once in every while. When a CT comes in to rescue the hostages, he's aiming low to catch campers in corners and doesn't notice you so high up. (Alot of players I know didn't even know there was a light up there in the back of the hostage room). The CTs are then easy picking when they're grabbing hosties.

My favorite strat is to camp spawn on dust with a sniper rifle. That or to wait around a corner while my teammate runs ahead. Then when he dies I run out and kill the weak or reloading enemy.

ok.. camping... there are 2 types of maps.. DE and CS.. allowing Counter Terrorist or Terrorist to camp on one them. Why do people complain.. they complain because they were killed by someone hiding and it pisses them off. If they got killed in the backyard in militia they would be like damn. if thye got killed in the house cause of someone hiding/camping.. they would cry a river. everyone bitches about camping. I have people bitch at me and say im camping cause i was on the roof killin people.. so im "camping" the roof. CAMPING IS PART OF THE GAME. PEOPLE CAMP IN EVERY SINGLE GAME THAT YOU CAN. PEOPLE CAMP IN A FLYING SPACE AIRCRAFT THING GAME. ITS LIKE. Thanks
