cs 1.6: hands-on

Hello. I must say. I am confused. When cs beta 3.1 was out every one could download it. With no worries. Now i wonder ! Must i pay for steam? The thing i need to d/l cs. Must i regester at a page to be awaible to d/l cs beta 1.6 ? And why do i need steam to d/l cs ?

Cant i just go to a page. Wait a few hours then d/l it...



Hope you can give me a decent answer here...I am really confused!

All Us guys in EUROPE have to wait untill tonight as in 7-12pm as u file is hosted in the US. and there time is before us. if they release at 5pm usa time we get it at about 10pm

Is friends still going to be bound to F1 like tracker was suppose to be? If it is can it be disabled so you can bind F1 to anything? Man looks like I am going to need to rewrite my buy script once again since the menus are going to change. I don't want to accidently but the shield instead of kevlar and drop a perfectly good weapon on the ground for someone else to pick up.

I guess not, now that I think about it. The only menus that will change are the equipment and the Rifle menus. I wonder if the Gali/FAMAS will be the first rifle in the menu of the third. If it is based on cost then it would be the first. Looks like I can finally get rid of the SMG binds/shotgun binds. Heck I never buy the shotguns any way. The only SMGs that I buy are the mp5 and the p90. I never buy the UMP. I rarely buy the mac10 unless I feel like having some fun. And screwing with people who have rifles.

Any one answer this?..Will you be able to crouch with the shield and crawl through narrow spaces like in aztec?or will the size bugger things up>?
