I know that it is the editor's (Rizzuh's) opinion that counts but I don't think that the winning entry fulfilled the competition requirements adequately:



Send us a picture of someone that most people wouldn't think is a CS fan playing Counter-Strike



Solid Snake is a fictional counter-terrorist represented by a sprite. This isn't very far away from the basic CT guys in CS, especially as some people use a SS skin anyway!



For example, you could have an image of President Bush fragging terrorist scum on his computer screen



Clearly we are looking for someone playing CS, not IN CS. Right?



The point is to be creative



I don't think that slapping a CS hossie in MGS is particularly creative.



All in all it's a pretty bad decision but there it is. Well done to the lucky winner, I guess this will inspire us all to go in for future compos as now we know that anyone can win no matter how bad the entry ;-)

hey guys, i just wanted to say that even though u may think the guy didnt deserve to win, you shouldnt bash him because hes just like u and me, and if u do sh*t like that the CS community is going to keep its crappy reputation. anyway here are the ones i made; they might not be 1337 photoshop skillz but i laughed after seeing the finished product and i think (hope) you will too.

I had fun with the contest. Those of you who seemed not to get my pic, it is a paradox. It's a terrorist playing in the same game as him shooting himself. Not just some CS model playing CS. Anyway, some of you guys need to chill out a little and have some fun. For the guy who won. I'd much rather a copy of CZ on preorder (for God knows when it'll come out) then a crappy PS2 :-P
