The mgs one still is sucky =\ Perhaps (you recover the pictures!!!) and ask the csn members to vote from say the top 10-20 entries.

Seems to me like.. if Solid Snake is in the game because he's a fictional character, he's not really "playing cs" as Rizzuh so clearly put it. It would be part of his job, as a counter-terrorist, and he just happens to be rescuing a hostage wearing an orange jumpsuit vaguely reminiscent of the CS hostages. I honestly could have pulled a better picture out of my sock drawer. Don't give that nub a PS2 Rizzuh, I'm sure if more people have known you were just looking for a piece of crap to award a prize there would have been much more "quality" entries.

In the end, yeah, it's rizzuh's site, it's rizzuh's contest, and I'm glad that at least there was a contest, as it gives the community something to try for, even if you know you don't have the skills to produce the kind of work that should have won. I know I certainly don't have the skills to produce anything quality. (Stupid Tripod, grrr...) Perhaps something funny, though.
Now for my thoughts.
Solid Snake was playing some incarnation of MGS or whatever, and happened to have a CS hostage standing behind him. He wasn't playing CS, as much as someone may try to imagine.
The lighting on the hostage is much more pale and reddish than the yellowish lighting that the rest of the picture has, imo. So no, the hostage really didn't look like it was in the game, to the same level of quality that say, the picture of the little girl playing CS looked right in every aspect.
Looking at the winner... It doesn't look like CS. It doesn't remind me of CS. If I saw it somewhere other than on CSN, I wouldn't have even noticed that it was supposed to look like CS. It isn't funny. It doesn't even have a feel of quality to it. It just looks... like a pic of Solid Snake in MGS2, that got edited for 3 minutes, in not a big enough way.
Call them cliché if you want, but even pics of Saddam, the Pope, barnyard animals, random pro-peace activists, or little girls can be funny. And even if they are cliché, they still aren't people you'd expect to be playing CS.
Sure, I wouldn't expect Solid Snake either... had it looked in any remotely vague way like he was playing CS. Except that it didn't.
Ah well, congratulations to the winners all the same, and to those who submitted but didn't win, keep on posting those links to your submissions. I've got a lot more smiles out of looking at some of those than I did looking over the contest winners, overall.
And thanks for the great site rizzuh, even if you've managed to piss off just about everybody simply because of your preference, heh. Everyone will get over it, like always, and by next week, you can expect everyone to be pissed at you for some completely different reason. :)Comment

Well since it's rizzuhs site, rizzuhs contest and rizzuh is the judge, it's his call as to who wins. Who gives a shit if the winner wasn't a picasso with a splash of comedic genius.
If rizzuh found it to be the best of the bunch in his opinion then so be it.Comment
