dutch i'm pretty sure about 10 ppl have given out links to working steam download pages i think the problem is you aren't going to be able to get the acctual CS download from steam at the moment. I got it early though so i've been playing and riot shield is fun :)
the famas is about 100 times better than the m4a1 because you can fire a 3 round burst into a guys head from range because of how damn accurate it is. Its also only $2300 so i don't know how well balanced that is. Riot shield isn't very useful but its fun standing their getting shot at.Comment

u won't help me by saying how good it is(i know it's good). but u would help by telling me if i must have Half-life installed to get Steam functioning, and downloading 1.6 beta, because it always stops at "updating platform.dll to version 1"Added @ [time="1042922334"]

Hey everyone I finally got steam to start working but everytime i click on the steam shurtcut it takes a little while to bring up steam then when i try to click on something it doesnt respond.....is anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to fix it?

hehehehehehe... This is too funny. Once an avid CS player myself (over 3 years now, beta 2 =], august of '99, when they added the sig, ak, and deagle), I understand how must of you feel... But now that I can see how I probably acted in the past, it just REALLY makes me laugh. Other thing have caught my attention, school, girlfriend, working out (yes, I am in good shape), band (ha yes, I have the skill/talent to play an instrument), and family.
If any of you could actually try to resist CS, for about 3 weeks, you might find that you eat (much) less warmed up food, it IS possible to leave your house, and you can make real-life friends (ones of the opposite sex, too!!!). Just take a chill pill and calm the flip down.
You've waited this long, 1.5 came out on the 12th of June ('02), you can stand to wait a few more days.
