don't cry over the fact that they have delayed the release of a new version of a game that you will play the current version of anyway...



especially since they take all this time to release these updates for free... most companies would have stopped development a long time ago.. not to even mention the fact that half of you probably have illegal copies of the game anyway...

Whenever I try to launch Counter-Strike, i receive an error: "Could not load hw.dll. Please try again at a later time".

Note that steam has already downloaded cs files.

Is this error specific for me or is it related to steam server limited bandwidth ?

we can play online now? Mad i gotta try. I finished downloading last night, just tryed it then. Took 3 launch atempts worked fine ocnce it was in. The gail sounds powerfull so that should mean it is my logic anyway, and i emtied an entire clip on the wall a few meters away and if it was a player every bullet would have hit, so..... prepare to die cts. Although the Famas is DEADLY accurate with burst fire, like all 3 bullets land in the one spot and u get get the next burst off quickly enough. I like the animations for the sheild, u can throw a grenade, he pulls the pin with his teath although the knife is USELESS with sheild cause he can only take one slash every second. I want to know, if the sheild is off to your side, does it protect your side still?

...so steam is going to scan every persons CS install every time you want to play, and update as needed? i don't see how the bandwidth issue will be fixed then, as demand will only grow. the players won't be downloading the whole frigging game like the beta test but it could still be a tight little bottleneck.
