Valve is trying things out, as Steam is going to be a sort of "pay-what-you-play" service. No need in whining - it's just a game.

In 1.5 every so often some of my maps would kinda of currupt and say "your map de_whatever differs from the servers, i never knew what it was and i thought it was a one of bug with me and 1.5, now with the steam beta of 1.6 it has happened again, de_airstrip differs from the servers

if you do manage to get 1.6 to run for you, you wont be able to connect to a server. it will attempt to connect you, then you will be disconnected..but, 1.6 will not close! all you need to do is go to Create Server, and play a little 1 v 0.

I dont see whats the problem... Ive got Steam earlier today. It works perfectly.... who am I kidding? IT SUCKS! STEAM SUCKS! I want to get 1.6 the normal way, cause the normal way rules!
