blaming it on the "leaks" which they leaked themselves is as bad as all the people saying that steam sucks. You gotta admit, centralizing the delivery of the most popular game in the industry is kind of a dumb idea, to say the least.



My point though is that it's kind of insulting that they are saying WE MESSED IT UP cuz of the leaks... G E E Z cut me some f***ing slack... At least tell us straight up what the problem was... we're still gonna play the damn game and they would keep the respect they already had from us. All they had to say was, "hey fellas, there's just too many of you trying to d/l please be patient while we try to hook you up"

I don't get why people say "its not steams fault that 500,000+ users tried downloading this all at once"



While it is obivious that steam KNEW that a lot of people would try connecting/downloading on them. All of that is a BETA TEST, all of that including steam2.0 BETA, THEY ARE TESTING STEAM DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND.



They WANTED people to connect like idiots and get connection timeouts and slow download this is to stress test their server and bandwitch damn it

1st i think they tried to calc the possible traffic but missed a zero or two. fire those ppl who calced.

2nd instead of using existing game installs for generating SteamCache they made us to download the whole thing wich will roll out to 800 megs.
