Steam 2.0 BETA Delayed

Okay people, if you don't like steam, it is very simple. Don't use it! Stop complaining about how it sucks. I would like to see you all do better than VALVe.



As many people have said, its a beta for Steam. It is not for CS 1.6. Part of the reason they are doing the Steam 2.0 Beta is so they get iron bugs out in CS 1.6 so you all can get your precious "patch."



Complaining about Steam won't help it go away. Just wait until it works, or they release the real 1.6 patch.



P.S. To all those people that think counter-strike will cost money, are wrong. CS will never be forced through Steam!

after you wait some time when there is that preparing to play counter-strike message it says the game is currently unavailable. please try another time

thats not possible, you need to download everything from steam, and right now the beta isn't running, so you won't be playing any 1.6 online.



you might be able to create a game, and play alone or on a LAN.

At least, I do now. I got a brief play yesterday before the masses realised it was out, and thought it to be quite good.

i have my cs 1.6 constanly open but i have just tabed out of it, it takes so long to load that i'd rather just leave it open

it's not like they did something revolutionary.. just a few map, weapon and code updates..BETA?



people release BETAs when they actually did some substantial work..



this is a MOD.. anyone with some programming knowledge should be able to do this update...

Many, many problems with STEAM! Ohh I hate them!

MY PROBLEM, PLS REPLY:I log on to steam, I downloaded cs 1.6, I clicked on Counter-Strike icon but there it's blocked.. It says "Preparing to ply...", and then The games isn't reachebal!

SECOND Q:We will have to wait until STEAM gets more bandiwth?
