Sure, it is dissapointing that they couldnt muster up infinite bandwidth but they werent expecting the majority of the community to try it. This could be not only blamed on rizzuhs 3 updates stating something around "OMG WTF ITS COMING OUT EVERYONE GET READY TO FLOOD IT OMGOGMOGMOE%O#U%(*)(!!@!#@$@ ;0"

Of course, they are trying to solve this. Just because you are impatient and cant wait for an update that doesnt mean you are correct, or even know what is going on.

Umm so can i dl cs off of people who already have it? u can send stuff through aim and shlt i want to dl it but it wont connect and i think i signed up bad if u have cable is it ISDN or DSL? wat is broadband?

who cares, so what you dont get to play with your new weapon for a few days, its not the end of the world. There are many things valve could have done differently "could have"



1. Give us more information, i didnt even find out that steam was supposed to be released at 3pm, till i saw it on file planet?? The never gave us realy any infomation about it, www.counter-strike.net is never updated! how the hell are we supposed to know its leaked if they dont even tell us when it come out?



2. What happend to giving the servers a chance to update a day before? i run two netcafes, how am i going to update 40 clients in both and all the servers?



3. Dont relese beta to public, they should have waited and gave it to only certian people, then when 1.6 offical comes out mirror it just like always.



so information would have been nice, i realy dont care when it comes out but leaving us all in the dark guessing does not help, get on your fucking web sites and update the news for the love of god!

I agree completely...... Besides, (IMO) I think it's more fun to piss everybody off in a forum then to be trying out new guns.

..i managed to find a place to download the piece of steam from a Spanish website. installing took a long time and crashed. i started CS and waited for the game to update itself.....45min later(on cable) it froze. i waited another 20 min. then gave up. i could not find any server files anywhere online. you have to download those from steamy too. so i get to do this twice, joy! i don't like that the program connects to the Internet automatically when you start up, creepy. hope i can turn that off. will steamer scan my CS game every time i get online? thats creepy and slow. steam controls seam vague and bulky, ugly too. it's always a pain in the ass when CS gets updated. especially now. we have been playing CS commercial free for years. professional game development costs lots of money. here comes the squeeze.



wow! what a piece of sh!t steam is. it seriously takes 10 min to create a single player game of aztec. it's like u have to download the entire game from steam every time you want to play. it's huge pain in the ass. i wish i hadn't wasted all night downloading this steaming piece of crap. i hope to god it's just like this for the beta. or many people will be quiting this game.

F**K STEAM!!! Valve should scrap that sh*t... coz its a waste of time... a waste of internet always downloading files every time u connect/play.... and i don think their broadband server could handle all the thousands of connection downloading from them...

Its better if they beta test it their own... and then relase the CS 1.6 final version.. and no Release dates please if you cant release it by time!!!! ur making us all hope for nothing....

ROFL TOOK me 2 hours to load CS and then like an asshole I went to change resolution and CS crashed! HAHAHA.. At least I liked new menu and picture. Yeah...
