Friends doesn't appear to be stable either. I think the reason why everything is going down is due to more people sharing the beta. Just a guess. Does anyone know if it's on p2p stuff? I already have it plz don't ban me. I am just wondering
Hes right, we were just playing chess and we both went offline.

Still, cool idea and was wondering and remebering about the AOL patent case on instant messaging tech and how it might affect this...

      Regardless, 1.6 rocks...

Hi everyone. First, for play at CS 1.6, you need to register on Steam. After, you can download a file named "gcache.gcf" about 400Mo of size. I zipped him with winRar and it's make 80Mo of size after. So, I think Fileplanet or maybe FileShack should be giving this files zipped with a litle "How to do" file. That's my opinion. I played a lot of CS 1.6 since 2 days. And I found a lot of bugs but its a BETA so.. But the new weapons are cool. But, and that's the bigs error, REALY to more powerfull. With the Galil, the recoil is realy to good and you can kill easily a guy with a riot shield when you aimed the litle window. Both Aztec and Inferno are realy looks more cool, more beautiful. And airstrip is cool. Maybe the bombsite at the CT Spawn is stupid but, the map sill cool. I just want to say, be patient who's didn't get the game. But, I realy thinks FilePlanet should give the files zipped. Its should be so simple....take care all!
wow your stupid. I know for a fact you can't just put the gcache file in your folder, steam will not install it properly or use it properly. I tried it infact when my first download corrupted. It just doesn't work. The zipped file will not work what you need is to have a .exe install file but this is a beta and they need to regulate so no. And anyway doesn't your login/password dictate your wonid?

#140 LOL. I think you're the idiot. Yes, you can "just put the gcache file in your folder". Dude, listen, first, install Steam 2.0 , ok. Install it before ,lol. Once it's done, Register to Steam. Once it's done, Subscribe for all games in the Subscribes Games Section. After that, it will create a folder with a path like this "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamCache\counter-strike" . After It's done, you take the "gcache.gcf" files and drop it in that folder. Ok? After that, in your games Section, double click on Counter-Strike and it's okidouki. Me and five of my friends have done this and all works perfectly. Oh, sorry, maybe you thought you had to drop the file ziped in the folder...omg...Of course, you need to unzip before. :O
