No problems d/ling it here on Thursday. I think fileshack was hosting the content. I think with Steam, just like the earlier version that it's still laggy. I noticed the updaterate was default 20 and the control configuration screen doesn't offer any new binds like quick buys of equip and weapons. Also there is no advanced menu for hud_centerid or hud_fastswitch. You do have access to console so you can manually still change everything. They didn't remove stopsound either. I didn't check much more.



I'm not playing it again until it's officially released. Can't really test weapon accuracy when it takes 2 seconds for the recoil to reset.

I don't blame the sites. They can make their own reputations, I don't really care. I don't think they're doing incredibly "bad" things or crap like that. I never said the sites were wrong for posting it, but to act like they're not going against the wishes of valve would be blind.



I'm simply saying that we will not mimic their actions.



Hey, call me a brown-nose all you want. Point being, people will continue to visit this site and you know how many times they'll visit the site they got Steam off of? Once, and that's assuming they don't get a direct .exe download.

They did such a GREAT job with Cal-i HLTV's I'm sure that they'll do a SUPURB job in helping with the bandwith issues for Steam!

Hi everyone. First, for play at CS 1.6, you need to register on Steam. After, you can download a file named "gcache.gcf" about 400Mo of size. I zipped him with winRar and it's make 80Mo of size after. So, I think Fileplanet or maybe FileShack should be giving this files zipped with a litle "How to do" file. That's my opinion. I played a lot of CS 1.6 since 2 days. And I found a lot of bugs but its a BETA so.. But the new weapons are cool. But, and that's the bigs error, REALY to more powerfull. With the Galil, the recoil is realy to good and you can kill easily a guy with a riot shield when you aimed the litle window. Both Aztec and Inferno are realy looks more cool, more beautiful. And airstrip is cool. Maybe the bombsite at the CT Spawn is stupid but, the map sill cool. I just want to say, be patient who's didn't get the game. But, I realy thinks FilePlanet should give the files zipped. Its should be so simple....take care all!

I was just playing, and was pretty amazed at how much tension was added when I didn't know how many opponents I was up against. I thought it was a dumb idea at first, but now I'm starting to see its potential.

Dust also has a bombsite at the CT spawn, but everyone seems to love it (for some reason). I think airstrip plays decently, but we'll have to wait and see what it's like on low-lag servers when people are buying the weapons they want, rather than trying the new ones every round (at least that's what I'm doing).

Steam isnt worth it for me really, Ive downloaded it (Gotcha no linkz0rz for the Steamz0rz) installed it, ran it, it froze or crash Ive had to restart my comp dozens of times, and the closest ive gotten is getting a Disconnect error when i try to play a server.



So Chill, play the Good ol 1.5 with your dust, assault, and your iceworlds and have the same good time youve always had and simply chill til 1.6 Final is officially released.



As for me Im off to play my favorite server (And to annoy my team, sing on my mic).

I no exactly what ur talking about cheetrah, my boarding school also has a gay firewall, so gay how we can't play cs on the internet or use steam and stuff. The only benefit of this place is that it runs a T-3 but im better off back home with DSL, than this shit..don't ask why I'm here hah )..My school uses Novell (Netware) firewall what's yours cheetrah??
