I have a boring Monday Morning (No one plays then!) habit of dling the latest cheats to see what they do and stuff. And more importantly to see if they get caught on our public, #$t0n3d UK Roll Em If You Got em Server.
Shockingly, I have yet to be detected on my server! In what has become three months I have yet to see the oldest of the hacks i tried be detected.
Mind you as a fair comment, Ive yet to see one that does genuinely improve accuracy of shooting, certainly not against bots anyway, maybe its different with people, but I find accuracy decreases by some twenty percent at least. The benefits of cheating seem to be more performance enhancing, i.e. that little biut of anticipatory ijntuition and the like.
Obviously A dumb punk cheater will rush up two floors top your location immediately and hs u, but rguably the skilled cheater must be able to disguise it. When I first tried to detect patterns, I was horrified to find, that i can only be sure a cheater has cheated if i runthe demo on the game version I have the cheats enabled on, only then can you se the true picture. Perhaps there is the solution, Maybe U A or soemone, could put together people better qualified than me, to go through the reams of demos made and presented, once banned, the won could be removed from the auth servers?
I know some poeple may not be deterred as the dodgy types prolly have more than one won id, but its worth acrack, maybe naming and shaming em would work, failing that we can send Hans Blix and his team o'monkeys to check out their computers for hacks of mass destruction? But then again, even if they dint find em, maybe wed just bomb their asses anywa, their foreign who cares!

blah, VAC isn't doing shit.
I mean, I used to think so, but after finding a cheat site and testing the cheats, I realized VAC doesnt do shit.
Ok, well actually, it DOES block some things, but most are still undetected. I have used a 1.6 hack (aimbot+wallhack) and 5 1.5 hacks, most not needing any editing of CS files, etc. You just click the icon, set settings, and click go.
It's WAY to easy for any frustrated noob to find sites with cheats like those and use them. It's not even fun, for the cheater OR for the people playing against him. It just degrades the quality of the community. Stuff like that is why a lot of people who play DoD hate CS, because of the few [-M@tr1XxX-]_-=Ne0MorPheUz[[Tr1n1tY_5]]=-_{AgNt}_ kind of people.
Cheaters, people who think they have a right to insult others because of their percieved skills in a video game, and general all-around assholes. They have killed the CS community. I still play, but it just doesnt seem as fun anymore. (I actually think it started after the CD started being sold in stores. Now anyone can pick it up, say "this looks cool", suck at the game, get frustrated, and we have another cheater, but that's kind of off subject)Comment
