i do have the problem of won authentication, i understood that some changes have been done, but how do i make the changes ?

There was apparently a non-DNS related problem with the WON servers in addition to IP changes. Here's the word on the HLDS mailing list from Eric Johnson:

We solved a hardware problem with the WON servers.



Let us know if anyone is still seeing outages.

but please in future let us know before we are your custommers

Not working again. What is going on with these WON Servers? Bandwidth issues?

To specify the new IPs you can add the new IP's to your local PC host file.



C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts



Add the lines posted earlier in this thread. This will get round the DNS servers caching issue.

this is messed up i started to have the problem on Thursdays i think and i did some research and i figured it out i had a DNS problem and it worked fine now today(Saturdays) i tried connecting to a server and the same problem started again...someone respond to this and please help me I'm SO bored!

to ur question open the vlave file from ur notepad on ur comp that shoulkd work i did that and it worked for 1 day now i'm screwed cuz it wont work again
