Ok, J@ackass! The file you can download does work and will work(until they change IP's again). Now im tired of all the loser posting crap about needing a fix. Get a life!. I like playing CS as much as the next guy. A lot of us have played since the early relases. What is going on is going to resolve it self with in 48 hours, Its called a DNS update it happens all the time, that is why the server is down, and the sites are down. It takes as much as 48 for the DNS servers across the net to get the change so your loser @ss ISP can send you to the right IP. Shut up sit down and wait like the rest, unless you have the little inteligence in needs to update the file in valve folder. It worked for me. Now is the idiots at Steam and Valve would get that crashing issue fixed with 1.6 becuase it rocks.

No fooling. No I wasn't using the download fix, I have 1.5. I'm not the type of person to rush right out and download something just because it's out right now. You guys are struggling with 1.6 issues and I'm playing cs with my 1.5. Who's the loser now?

Steam IS gay at the moment. The friends does not work, ever. It actually crashes computer. My install also locks up once i get into a server. But is is in Beta, expect what is the point of makeing a progam that make Valve software easy to update if they never update it. For cryign out loud I dont care if I does not work all the time aslong as i see progress in the releases in stead of regression. I wish 1.6 would run with out steam, but to my dismay, and many others, 1.6 is steam. I like where they are going with the interface just get the d@mn friends work and fix the crashing isuse that started to plauge so many people a few days ago.

oo people got it bad, my commetn, back in the 30 s or so, was true, I used the fix, and began to work, that was around, 22.30 GMT. I have had NO problems at all since then. Yes aklways back up your edited files, INfatc, I keep a default install of cs in restore just in case, Cos somteimes go crazy with custom skins. If you need skin, tac look no further than the skin of the day archives, adn cs gamer central, tere good.

REPEATEDLY CRASHES STEAM; ALSO I GET *BUDDIES* Appearing in a game, then when i join theyre no there. Also strange hangs, where I am through to select team bit, andthen the game hangs, I sometimes get a steam validation error, report, something about fatal exception process 16, wtf is that about? All since I had this bloody 5 n 6 dll update, worked fine before, cept friends, just sell outto M$ and let em incorporate messenger.. hehhe

your gay, cs doesnt freeze it's waiting for a reply from the won servers.. wich times out after a while.. and after that while you should get an error message.



ps. sounds like you people need to either get a life or a few more games to play

Has it gotten fixed? I tried playing and it works now just to tell everyone. Hopefully it shall stay this way.
