Either admit that the people making these things are fucking airheads or give me a point for their existence. Period.

Granted when you have seen so many frag movies it becomes unoriginal and dull, the first time I saw "Frag or Die" I was pretty entertained for the duration of the clip.

You always have to have something to carry on your incessant ranting don't you. If you hate the community and the game so much why don't you head over to a Game Cube comment discussion page. They are a lot more mature and angst ridden over there, and everything is an analytical debate on the topic at hand that is closely related to the social infrastructure of the entire community.

The movies are made by people in the CS community, and are evidently pretty popular in the CS community, whereas it wasn't before. So naturally one could assume that this is not indicative of a trend in the CS community, but of life on Mars.

wtf mouth... thanks, jerk. i made the CPL movie (yes old csn name). Im sorry that i tried to make a movie showing various frags of the CPL for someone who might have missed alot of the matches. I know, yes i know, that the matches arent all about frags, but the movie sure as hell is alot better than having to watch 20+ demos. And btw not only does the movie show skill, it does show teamwork like spacebar on train and mTw on aztec. Also i made the movie for people who DID watch most of the demos, lots of the frags (for me at least) are funny too look back on, like Ksharps attemp to knife mTw.alternate | ide, but gets no scoped (pretty much losing the match for 3D and getting eliminated). I tried as hard as i could to not make the movie 'showing off adobe skills' because first of all, i have none. I made the intro and credits in MSpaint, and the only thing i did with adobe premiere was add transitions. you can stop by #anti-frag to further insult my movie (aF|nero) if youd like. All i know is that i have gotten 30,000+ downloads and countless PMs from people saying how much they enjoyed the movie, and ive gotten comments from people who were actually at the CPL and in my movie like Rival | Eaton, and EG, but they yelled at me for not putting them in the movie. D:



Edit: 75% of the people who PM me commenting about the movie ask the band/song names and tell me that the music is infact 'rawkin'

Great. So, instead of just being able to DL a 5 meg demo and watching 2 minutes before turning it off in disgust, you gave people the option of DLing a huge .avi so they can watch 2 minutes before turning it off in disgust. Again, bravo.

I don't blame them. It's hard to determine which out of tune, 3 chord guitar band is which. The answer for generic techno shit is hopefully less stressful to answer.

And I told you what the point of the movie was. And you skipped over that and kept rambling on about how fucking stupid these movies are. The problem here has nothing to do with your opinion on the movie, but you insist on mindlessly ranting rather then giving suggestions or explaining what you would like to see in a frag movie. Now it's pretty obvious that you do not like frag movies, and if this is the case you are free to carry on about your business rather then lay it down to the people who make or enjoy these movies that they are a useless waste of time.



The music and manner of which individual frag movies are compiled hardly makes a difference. You can pass judgment on individual frag movies, but you seem to be regarding them all as a giant mesh of crap all based off the same cliché. It is true that most of these movies are like that, but sometimes, every once and a while, they are put together quite nicely; and it would be nice if you would let us enjoy them rather then being such a total and complete asshole.



Every movie posted in this news article pretty much sucks, but the CPL one was put together quite nicely, and was pretty good in my humble opinion, and you don't see me verbally disemboweling the creators or fans of these movies. Have some respect and someday someone might respect you, and possibly your opinion.

Anyway, saying that putting together a movie is worthless just shows that you have no idea whatsoever what you are talking about. It takes time and effort to put a movie together, no matter how much you think it is unimportant or pointless or useless. But here's some news; we make and watch CS movies because, now read closely, IT'S FUN. Plain and simple.
