for the first time the other day I saw a genuine benefiut to the voice annoy scripts, se kind of related. Firstly, sorry for my lame typing, im huddled around a candle with merely a lump of coal for heat so my fingers begin to seize up, couple that with drug addled mind freeze and u see, w1nn3rs dont do drugz!

    Heh

Anyway The voice annoy things, some chap yesterday had a break on his mike, another had everybody dance now, They were pretty much in time, they were like, punch mixing over their mikes, while some next geezer was live mcing, iT WAS HEAVY, the guiywas no major telent, bt the vybe was immense, we were doing well at the time, and we were almost fragging in time to the tunes, living the frag video dream, AH if only it ws demoed....

hlamp has always frozen my cs.

maybe it has to do with the buffer size. what's that command?
Are you talking about Half-Life Sound Selector (HLSS) and not HLamp? HLamp has no "buffer size", but HLSS does. If HLamp is freezing your computer make sure you have redownloaded it, because I did upload a new DLL to fix some crashing problems.

Having the auto-pause setting saved gets a little annoying when you first load up the game, but I can work around that I suppose. I'll see what I can do...I'll at least make it an option. Thanks :)
Ive been wanting to see this for ages. gg disk2

            3. Select HLamp 1.30 from the list

i had another idea. set up the "announce" to only announce one time per song, that will cut down on the spam, unless the guy wants to listen to a bunch of different songs really quickly

also, the auto-volume lower should probably go a bit quicker, as when you are the last to die and it raises, it takes a bit before it lowers again

Playing Natural Selection once, two guys went in and used thier voice comm to get some thumpin' music going, and invited everyone to go to the ready room (where all players can see each other and choose teams). The ready room has different model animations than the rest of the game, and basically you can exploit this to make your character seriously look like they're breakdancing. It was hilariously funny, to be honest. The first time I saw one of the guys do a breakdancing routine in the half-life engine, I just about died laughing. It was so cool! :)

Haha, yeah, good times. Goofing around can be as fun as playing the game the normal way, so long as everyone's into it. :) Flashing our flashlights and dancing around like crazed monkeys... yeah, voice comm probably wasn't meant for that, but it was great. Definitely amusing to enter a game where 20 people are breakdancing in the ready room, and only 2-3 are actually playing.

I still don't get it. How do you BREAKDANCE in NS? The model animations don't really look anything like breakdancing

In the ready room, the animations are a lot different. Have a buddy hold down his WALK key, look at the sky, and walk forward. He'll look like he's leaning waaaaay back. Same deal if he looks at the ground, he'll look like he's got a hand or two on the ground. Then tap your duck key some, and you'll start bouncing around. Spin as fast as you can (a higher sensitivity helps with this), and you'll do a spin on the ground that looks a lot like the typical breakdancing spin. Holding down WALK and walking backwards also looks a lot like the moonwalk, heh.

Get a buddy and start messing with it, and you'll see what I mean. Only in the ready room, though. The in-game animations don't look anything like dancing no matter how hard you try. Keep your walk key held down always, as that really helps the effect. :)

Yay. This is gonna be the easiest model to review ever.

                          Model - Great

                          Skin - Great

                          Animations - Great.

The best Mac10 replacement ever. I suggest you go with the 'no frills' version (i.e. no scope or silencer), as I think that's the best looking. I can't fault it at all. Use this. Now.

(KiGrind, you don't have to use the damn scoped version)

Great model, despite a few minor flaws here and there. Definitely worth trying out for a while, especially if you're not a fan of the dumb strap in the front of most Mac-10 replacements. Pity about the animation errors, or I'd rate this even higher.
