I love how Valve messes things up as well...from Steam to HL2...
They should teach gabe newell some lessons in security, that man has done more damage to valve than any hacker could. (Frankly, i believe the whole "hacker" stealing code thing was made-up, or even allowed to cover up the fact that HL2 was never ready.)
Steam pisses me off like crazy anyway, everytime it updates CS it changes my weapons names. BAH!Comment

I don't even use custom shit. Waste of time for me. Makeing my M4A1 sound more real or look wont make me aim any better.
Rant time! If you don't like valve, don't use their software. Sure, "it's not that i dont like them, i wish they would do things differently..." bullshit. get over it.Comment

1) As noted before by many people, it was BETA tested. WON (HL engine in general) didnt work for me, or about 3/4 of the people I knew, whom all had to find games using GameTiger, and connect via a third party program. Steam provides the ability to quick fix issues, and constantly distribute new content. It's MUCH better than WON ever was.
valve are the biggest bunch of idiots in the game business I think.
reasons to support:
1) The transfer from a system(WON) that worked awsome for years to a system(steam) that wasn't even beta tested.
2) They "update" things but only cause 7 or 8 more porblems that won't even let the game work.
3) They never beta these "updates" before releasing.
4) They lie to the public when they have knowledge of delays until a week before release date is set.
I don't feel like listing anymore although there are more becuase it pisses me off so much on how stupid they are.
2) This happens sometimes, at least with STEAM they have the ability to fix the issue, and get the fix out in a timely manner. Take a trip back in time to the release of fixes that most people didnt even know about until they couldnt play the game at all, then once downloaded still caused game breaking issues.
3) I'm sure they do beta these fixes, every company has people to do QA.
4) Seriously, get over it, that shit is in the past.
Valve is one of the best game developers out there. They put out quality games, and dont release shit thats half done. They developed STEAM which has taken away the random crap usually associated with getting patches. Once again go back in time, and have fun finding a download for the latest Counter-Strike patch.Comment
