Steam Updated

I have yet to actually use the shield when I play, but I have seen some of the bugs that have been described. I have not been paying attention if I was on a dedicated 1.6 beta server or not so I do not know if they are occuring like RaptorRage said.

Steam updates are always a good thing, since the last update I am unable to log onto friends, but I don't use it anyhow so I realy don't care all that much if it ever works.

i just started steam and it updated platform.dll to version 6. yes, version six...

it addresses a number of stability issues with Friends and Steam in general. it also adds some kind of debug output thing.



it also adds 2 new weapons, the LAW and a silenced mp5. The grenade does more damage and the glock has been replaced with the awp.

i just deleted steam for two great reasons



1.i didnt have any open space with it

2. why sit around and watch valve ruin cs

As far as Steam goes, I'm glad to see v6 released. Hopefully this will resolve the constant crashes I was experiencing with v5. We'll see, I guess.

CS hasn't crashed yet, though Steam has a couple of times. Now it just lags my FPS way down if I don't manually set the steam process to a very low priority.
