It's cheating. You're supposed to be in first person, so you have to show yourself while looking around a corner. Since you're in 3rd person, you can do so without showing yourself, aka cheating.

the list is endless. there will always be someone with an advantage over someone else. life would be boring otherwise. 3rd person can be classed as cheating if it actually made u kill any better/quicker, fact is it doesnt.



and as someone said, 'cam_command 1' was used to enable 3rd person, not 'thirdperson'.

It's an exploit that's giving a big advantage to anyone moronic enough to use it. Ever heard of gl_alphamin? The thing that made masked textures totally transparent? Same deal.

Can someone take off that garage door in main entrance of cs_assault? It gives way too much advantage to the terrorists, worst when there are 32 players on a server. It gives the terros advantage of better view and better cover....

Or you could just play cs_assault2k, which is better than the normal assault in every way, except for the bad lighting outside.

Of course I can do that, but I mean for official map. Every other assault map are better than the original, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't modify official maps. They're modifying aztec and inferno a bit, so why not assault? On another matter, on servers that only play official maps, you can easily get bored in assault until roundtime runs out because of all the newbie camping.... Its a shame such a good map gets played in such a manner...

Where can you download steam?

I am getting sick of waiting for 1.6 to be public. I haven't played cs for about 3 weeks. There has to be a ballpark figure as to when they will make it official. The official cs site is about worthless when it comes to bringing updates and news about cs 1.6

All this negative - here is something positive. All the AFK'rs can now change to Spectate mode in order to not hold up the rounds. When they come back they can just jump right back in. Hopefully this will take care of those lamers that are too lazy to log out and come back in when they are done doing their business.

It can be obtained, but not by http. I have seen it done. I play 1.5 legit but I know many people who have upgraded recently. They just couldn't wait for that riot shield (which by the way is hillariously funny). Perhaps some peers of yours could help you out. . .

do any of you know how i can get rid of those awfull ugly default models and skins its so bad looking :-( When i play 1.5 i have my great looking realism pack :-) when i play steam 1.6 i want to cry cuause those models suk i tried reinstalling my realism pack and wow nothing happend HELP ME !!!!
