CS 1.6 BETA 3/3/03

Apparently a new version of Counter-Strike 1.6 BETA was released on the third. First we've heard about it, but it's a very routine release with no major changes. A few new changes to the radar, though. Click through for the changelog.[break="changelog"]

• players will not lose their kills when they change to spectator mode
  
  
• changed radar so dropped bomb flashes slower and planted bomb flashes faster
  
  
• changed radar so planted bomb flashes as an x

• fixed small compile bug in de_aztec
  
  
• fixed bug where game would freeze up during gameplay
  
  
• fixed sorting bug in particle system
  
  
• fixed bug where spectate button wasn't being shown if you were dead and bring up the team selection menu
  
  
• fixed bug with famas and galil ammo counts when purchasing extra ammo

Not that much to write home about, but it's not like writing home is a popular past-time anyway.

they should make it so it doesn't download tfc in the background while you're playing cs..



also they should add DoD

my steam freezes all the time now. Since the new updates it keeps getting even more unstable. Does this happen to anyone else?

Funny thing... Steam stopped freezing for me with this release. It works fine at least on my comp...

ive never had any problems with steam.....

and thridperson isnt really cheating, since u cant actually aim while in 3rd person. and u couldnt switch back and forth from 1st to 3rd person. u needed to reconnect. so i really dont see what all the fuss is about.

er, normally with third person perspectives you can actually see around corners... that is one hell of an advantage really :)
