Making rain would use too many entites to be feasible in this map.

See, now the problem I have is that it feels claustrophobic, being indoors with all those lights and no windows to the outside world... but that's just me. I like bright, outdoor maps - as if no one had noticed already :)
Any hints as to what sort of basic layout the map follows?Comment

I know. When I'm killing counter-terrorists I like it to be in a cheerful setting. Woohoo, overused joke #1.

Believe me, I know this quite well. But the fact that refinement comes as the map ages, begs the question, how the hell could a brand new map that looks like shit, and hasn't been played yet, be worthy of making CSN on a daily basis? If the map was completed, or in a beta stage, or at any point in it's existence where it's not just an ugly shell of a map, then I probably wouldn't be making this post.
It's only a few days old. Even the best maps from the best designers start out looking empty and basic and uninteresting. They get better with time (some more than others)... some of the most attractive maps around today (in games like Q3, RTCW, MOHAA, Halo, UnrealTourney2k3, Unreal2...) started out looking like a newbie's first build.
Give us mappers a chance - we have to make things look worse before they look better.
But it bugs me when the community is so sycophantic that they have to hang off every little thing that Narby does, no matter how insignificant, and proclaim him as the god of mapping and different things like that.Comment

It's because Narby is always doing something CS related, he can usually be found here on CSN every so often, he updates his maps and he's usually always got a map in development for CS so forgive us CS players for taking an interest in what he does.

what I really didn't like about vertigo is the two level paranoia thing that happens (is he on this level or under/on top) and the fact that CTs can go down by that ladder.
I liked vertigo too. It's a little bland but it's a very simple layout with 2 or so main choke pointa which is a good thing for CS, in my opinion at least.Comment
