Also for the posters that claim it took "x amount of time to hack CS" that is false, it took "x amount of time" for the general CS population to realize valves code was hacked, and easy to hack.

After several years of development CS is still hacked, and ALL the so-called anti-hacks are bypassed with impunity.

It is the admins of individiual servers that keep the game clean not valve or any third party anti-hack.

Give credit where it is due.

The Xbox doesn't really suck. No, I don't have one either. The Xbox is a great system in terms of hardware, but the game selection is not that great. That would be why I own a GameCube. Although I probably won't buy an Xbox for some time (I need a job first), but I agree with Counter-Strike going to Xbox, if any console at all, as Xbox has the superior on-line capabilities.

Well if they know what they're doing, they can make CS on XBox the top console game, seriously. I could see it working out. They'd make the black or white button show the buy menu, then you'd press the corresponding button to get to SMGs, Pistols, etc.



I've never seen anyone cheating on XBox Live because they will ban your XBox's serial number from playing online if you have a mod chip installed.



I need to look into getting a keyboard/mouse, I prefer them much over controllers, but the controller S is probably the best controller ever made.



Oh, and Tekron, you're link is incorrect. That's to connect your xbox controller to your computer. I think you want this instead.

Here here, Right on, However, at least security keep snoob hackers out, and demoing and checking on a hacked machine is the nly way to detect in most cases. But yes I think good admins will occasionally ban arbitrarily, even if its an uber leet player is on, if his atitude sucks too. GTood players should not be tring to rack up ridiculous scores. keeps the server fair with evenly skilled players on.

Wow Ghengis, I can not agree more.

"Good" admins do ban unjustly, and regulars on a server do help to catch cheaters (with demos, etc.), and thankfully so.

I also agree ,wholeheartledy, that experienced players SHOULD NOT be racking up ridiculous scores against new players. That encourages cheating more than anything, in my opinion.

I have played CS for over 3 years, never once have I used a cheat, but I get accused of cheating (almost everytime I play) and banned from servers where I am not a known entity.

If you are kicking newb ass..use a pistol, you have already proven your point..relax, your score is not a reflection of your worth as a person.

This game is communal, it is not a 1 on 1 affair...I have gone 70 and 1 in the past, cleared out the server and got cussed out.

Is that good?

No, it was selfish, the other players sucked, and hated the game because of me.

Be considerate.

Not everyone, in fact very few people (who play comp games), have the character to "stick with it" in the face of such a one sided ass kicking.

Especially given the fact that this is an online comp game...no other purpose for it but to make friends and have fun.

These days you can go 12-1 and have people think you cheat, and as a result start cheating themselves.

If you own the server, then do what you want, with no consideration, but if you are playing on someone elses server, whom pays hard cash for that server, then you might want to be considerate to the clients.

uh...first person shooters are nothing like on the computer. you have much more buttons to choose from in a much more comfortable position. if i had xbox (which i will never get) i might TRYit, but i would never buy it.
