Forget about keyboard and mouse for an xbox version of CS. Developpers have to implement the API for mouse and keyboard for xobx, and since it isnt and wont (more exactly never) be supported, you cannot play with kb and mouse, even if you have an adapter. Its as simple as that. And you cannot play CS xbox against PC online because of different protocols. And its just a rumor so dont get excited....

the only comment im gonna be throwing into the equation is....thank god theres no keyboard on the xbox version so i wont have to deal with silly lamers filling my screen with turd. Nah in all seriousness i think it can only be a good thing. To those who think its a bad idea dont play, simple as really. i for one am looking forward to playing games like Halo 2 and CS on the xbox much more than the pc versions :) so that everyone has a level playing field and "lans" (shall we say?) will be MUCH easier to do.. i.e 2-4 of ur mates on the same x box as u killin the other team :P fun fun fun

It is a good thing... Will I buy it for my xbox.. most likly... will I still play pc YES... The x-box version will be very different, slower, possibly making teamplay better. What I do want though is HALO II! and Halo for the PC!

Actually your pretty far off...Halo has been reverse engineered and now converted into saves which xbox's with mod chips can use..people will easily be able to cheat, not quickly though. Took more than a year for Halo. In the rev eng of Halo, you can jump like a god, shoot a pistol at a covenant ship and kill everyone inside and make it crash, shoot your own ships and they explode, turn into enemies and more...that's just a popular game on Xbox that never had a rep before. CS does, which will have people working hundreds of times harder trying to reverse engineer it.

i agree with stubbyz there probably will be cheaters and the console format will only make it harder to patch

You are correct but you CANNOT play on xbox live with a mod-chip, singleplayer will probably be hooked though

you also forget that it took how many years for someone to make aimbots etc for Halflife?



sure, it exploded from there, because the guys made their work open source, and easy to improve/build upon.



But it took years before that first external program aimbot came out that relyd on solid bright colored player skins and generally sucked anyways hehe.

I have NO clue how they will do that. I mean will they go back to the HL days and use 5 buttons? That would be hella tough. Well I think X-Box poeple should play eachother but the PC should play with PC.

Yes, but for linux kit with a PS2, you can add in a hard drive and make it a mini computer, making it POSSIBLE for hacks.
