mouth makes me hate the world

1st consoles sucks. Paying 400 - 1000 bucks aint worth it when I can get upgrade my PC with that kind of $$$$. And consoles are just stripped down PC with better vid cards, and have no residential programs to slow your game down, thats all.



2nd their games suck, for every excellent MGS2 or Halo there would be countless pieces of shit. And these games do not have much staying power unlike CS (yr 1999 )/Q3 (yr 1999 )/UT (yr 2000+) etc which are all at least 2 - 3 years old.



3rd, the games are crippling expensive. Games like CS are free, Q3 and the rest, well you can download patches to fix bugs, but console games never have patches. So when you buy a crappy game which crashes often, you are stuck with it.



4th, holding the console and trying to play an FPS is pure nightmare.

If Half-Life isn't proof of PCs superiority to produce content and involvement from the community for the community, then there is nothing I can say that will help my argument for PCs.

You've got that last part right.

And mouth, if you like games where all you do is watch a movie for 2 hours (MGS2), watch another movie for 30 hours (FF), and the likes then that is fine. I think linear play is boring and restrictive, and has very little replay value. The reason there are 5 console titles to every PC title is because there has to be. On the console a game is a game, and that is all it is ever going to be.

First you go on about MGS2 being like a movie, then you immediately follow up with "a game is a game, and that's all it's ever going to be", as if PC games are all cinematic masterpieces. Make up your mind. And secondly, you were waxing nostalgic about how good HL was, when infact it's more linear than the NES Mario Bros..

On the PC we get titles like Neverwinter Nights, a semi-linear RPG that has an amazing amount of room for growth. An extremely powerful editor and ~64 player servers allow for some truly unique community driven content. I would like to see the PS2 do that. But hey, you hate every other person in the universe so I suppose that wouldn't be your cup-o-tea.

Just because PC games rely on the people already buying the game to create further content doesn't make them "superior" to anything.

B. mouth, i'd like to talk to you about this "X-Box Live" shit. Personally, i'd love to see you aim with that small ass controller WHILE sitting 5 feet from a small ass television AND attempting to type with that controller OR a separate keyboard. Also, have fun spending for and maintaining a broadband connection to use it. Also, I'm sure that your dad will be proud when a game is on and your still hogging the TV. That is of course, if he doesn't trip over the quagmire of wires and whatnot between you and TV. also, if half-life suck so much, how come many know have about it yet none know about these 5 "barrier-breaking, glorious breathtaking" games for PS2? Furthermore, if CS has been milked dry, I'm still looking for a drop in players and interest in the godsend of a game.

C. It seems to be that you flame everybody that makes even the smallest rhetoric about your thoughts. Thus, i hope that eventually flame yourself out to a depleted smouldering cigarette butt that we can all grind under our shoes.

D. Ah yes, its FREE! This is something that we can all love isn't it, unless your some backward fudge packer with an ass for a head. This is something that helps keeps the community TOGETHER unlike the "perfect" console games that one has to SPEND to buy the damned squeal. For example you mindless flamer: the mod that you can download for half-life, the patches, and most importantly, CONDITION ZERO! The important parts of it will be packed up nicely in the patches that will come in the near future, thus IMPROVING GAMEPLAY and KEEPING A HAPPY THRIVING COMMUNITY! I'd love to see this happen in any console game.

If you are talking technology, consoles such as the GameCube, Xbox, and PlayStation2 are the best out. They are very advanced and are all coming out with Internet services for their games late 2002, early 2003. If you are talking about the best console based on games, I would have to say DreamCast. It was the most underrated console known to man. The games were very nice, sleak. Not only did the games look good, but they were also fun to play. If DreamCast didn't come out shortly before the release of the PlayStation2, Sega would be making big bucks :).
