It's better in a lot of cases, but not always feasible.



However, three Q3 games means lots of Q3-type hacking that would be smarter to prevent in one fell swoop. CS/HL would need different types of detection, etc.



Even Balance will have to grow substantially to, say, support Q3 games and Unreal games (talking about engines, obviously). It will be harder for them once a company with their own engine asks for PB integration.

Yeah cheaters are a problem, but they will never be taken care of. Know why? cause valve doesn't give a shit about CS community. Its another corporate american company. If they wanted to help they would allow others to produce anti-cheats. Cheating Death worked fine until VAC was released.

Agree there however, I think CD and others worked a little better than VAC does, but VAC will never die in the arse, not while Valve is trying to save the game that could ruin it's reputation.

People, please realise there's _2_ companies here. The only way VAC will slow down CZ is Gearbox will have to get Valve to help them put it into CS:CZ's multiplayer.



But seeing as CZ and CS original are gonna have the SAME multiplayer, I don't think that'll cause any problems.



VAC will NOT Delay CS:CZ.



Gearbox and Valve are DIFFERENT companies.

And would people stop whining about CS:CZ when VAC is updated. I think it's 'off topic' and should be deleted too Hehehe

Since you work at valve I guess you would know....to me it seems that they care a whole god damn lot about us, as they are paying people to keep us cheat-free.

Does HL-Guard just not count these days? valve isn't trying to make them obsolete, at least not from what I've read. and I'm sure if the CD team really wanted to continue valve would work with them to get the software working again.
