Gamers.com is reporting today that Namco has licensed an arcade version of CS called Counter-Strike Neo for play in its new Ledzone entertainment centers:
This is the part of the post where I usually tell you to go read the original article more information. Also... it's time to thank FAF, who submitted this little surprise to us.
CS Neo is substantially similar to the latest version of the game for American PC gamers, but it incorporates a more simplified interface and a detailed tutorial mode to acclimate inexperienced players to the game. Namco's setup is built around two-on-two games, but its facilities are able to accomodate larger games, and the company hopes to host competitive events sanctioned by the Cyberathlete Professional League in the future. It sounds like Counter-Strike Neo might only be available in Japan. A test version is supposed to be coming out later this month in Tokyo at the first (and so far the only) Ledzone center. Hopefully we'll see some screenshots soon.
