CSMC Map Installer v2

"Couldn't find maps/mapnamehere.bsp, server will now download the map." Sound familiar? If you've played CS for any length of time, it should. Only now, instead of waiting for the server to transfer the file to your computer (tick tock), you can ALT+TAB to the desktop, double click that handy icon, pick and download the map of your choosing, and in no time at all you'll be fragging away in your favorite pub once again.



If it isn't obvious to you yet, I'm talking about the CSMC Map Installer, now in its second edition. Here's a break down of what's new in v2 (haha):

• auto-update (you do the math).
  
  
• only maps you don't have installed will be listed for download.
  
  
• a more secure (auto) login.
  
  
• and csmc now comes bundled with game tiger, if that's your thing.

Remember that to use this handy service you need to have an account with CSMC. So go sign up. Or don't, I don't care.

I have 3.5 Gigs of maps, so its pretty sad that i NEVER download maps from a server

I only play on official maps now, because most custom maps are unbalanced. Like de_rats.

cs_siege, as_oilrig, and cs_militia, not to mention cs_assault sometimes are extremely unbalanced, but i still love cs_assault
