if one was to read between the lines, it's infered that you hit the escape button once and then alt+tab.. guess I should have been more specific. but what do you expect but incoherent ramblings from me late on a friday night ;p

Aparently, CSMC Map installer temporarily doesn't work because he's reached his bandwidth cap

I'm really looking forward to this when it comes back though.

yes for steam you make the directory folder under C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamCache\Counter-Strike\

i use hlsw to connect to servers so it connects me through console yeah so i can alt tab and not lose sound :) good old hlsw :)

I never lose sound when I alt+tab as long as I alt+tab back to cs not just let it auto switch itself back to cs.



Haven't since 1.1 on every different PC I've played on. Try it.

I have never lost sound when alt-tabbing since 1.3.

If you use an external server proggie (HLM, HLSW, ASE, AgentOrange, are some highlights) you can alt-tab out. Then all you have to do is press escape twice ingame to get sound back.



About the map installer, I tried it out. It worked once, and then it broke..

I play CS windowed, so I don't lose sound when task switching. However, for some reason I'm still unable to figure out, my controls lock up when I switch back to CS for anywhere between 10 and 20 seconds. I can look around with the mouse, but nothing else does anything.



Anyway, looks like a handy tool.

ya that happends to me but for only about 5 secs

very handy for me, i have a wierd problem that every so often the maps i have'nt been playing differ from the servers, it has still done this even after a format, some of the custom/official maps that i have'nt played in a week differ, (your map de_prodigy differs from the servers)
