GeekPlay, that far famed demo playing utility, has updated to version 6. GeekPlay allows users to open any demo anywhere on your computer as if it were an executable, and it automatically plays it in CS seamlessly. It also includes a nifty GUI and can help with making movies out of those 2 skill demos you've got!

• ability to repair demos with playback on wrong map and stuck console. half-life has a serious bug which makes demos unplayable if multiple demos are recorded on more than one map. another bug causes the console to be stuck throughout the whole demo.
  
  
  
  
• ability to remove fade to black in demos. now you can watch demos recorded under fade to black as if they were recorded normally.

I don't really know, I've never used it.

With a GUI you will be able to see the information about the demo before playing it, such as an image of the map and player names.

geekplay is an "organized" way of watching demos. its just a program that opens to fill a little bit of the screen, it shows all your demos, and when you click on them it tells you what map it is on and the people that were playing. then you can load the demo from right there on your desktop.



ive always had the problem of it freezing when i try to play, and then when i end task it it loads the demo.

I'd like to see a client hook demo player with lots of cool features like telling you who to watch next, statsme, winamp controls, wall hack etc. VAC wouldn't be a problem cos your offline. :)

I think you need to specify the dir of the hl.exe
