Oh yeah nighthawk, to fry your brain: I haven't beaten Half-Life either. The first Half-Life engine game I got was CS retail when version 1.1 was out. My brother got Half-Life Platinum a few months ago and I got through the first boss but then I had to format and I didn't bother to start up again.

That kinda happens sometimes in HL with the headcrabs, its annoying as hell when u get stuck in the vent cause some bloody headcrab is in the way.

And how the leak happend was - PCGAMER accidently sent the June issue to some people, and those people started scanning and posting the pics all over the place. Pcgamer didn't like this and has shutdown MOST sites that had the pics on them.

So I really was an amazingly lucky person? I mean I thought maybe I got the PCG like one day before everyone else. Also I just looked at my old PCGs and found out that I do have the May issue.

I'm curious how many days early I might be able to get a copy of HL2 through connections. Maybe not at all, maybe a few... I'm really curious though. Regardless, I should probably buy it, since I already got HL from VALVe for free... I love knowing people. :)



As far as the bodies and physics collisions, that's what I had read on another site, but it wasn't from a scan so I can't say it's 100% reliable. Granted I hope it is, and it would make sense with the physics engine. If stuff is in your way, however, you can always just bust out the crowbar and do a bit of chop-chop. :)

Another thought. On Xen you see a bunch of dead warriors around you and such, so obviously you weren't the only ones who figured out how to teleport to that planet. You have to wonder if it will be revealed who had been sending these unfortunate warriors to their doom, and if there's any of that team remaining.

Aren't those scientists sent in to the rift before you arrived to save the day? My fav. part of HL1 was the reception area of Black Mesa. I love planting explosives for the military dudes. I played the sewers section over and over, perfecting my nade tossing skills. The voices are hillariously funny when you score a hit on the grunts.



Of course, the best thing in HL1 was Operation SomethingOrOther where you got to use a sniper rifle. Splat.
