Personally I find all the development of HL2 stuff relevant to CS, as well, CS is based off of HL and where HL2 goes CS2 will follow.

Good point, because it only took what, 8-10 years for the original Nintendo to be effectively emulated on PC? I'm sure XBOX will be a cinch!

the original consoles (nintendo) used special cpus which neeeded their instructions to be emulated in x86 cpus (pentiums etc), the xbox uses a pentium chip already, no real need for emulation their.

the ps2 however uses another chip. not sure what its called, perhaps a motorola based one.

u didnt like the original hl? personally i was annoyed that hl ended so EARLY. i wanted more and more...

Even if they wanted it to, HL2 couldn't be set at Black Mesa - it was obliberated by a nuclear device at the end of Opposing Force. An Opposing Force 2 would be cool - Shepard's osprey crashes somewhere on Xen and he has to fight his way past the evil aliens.

It has a crap ending. You kill the boss and end up in an Osprey with the G-Man who tells you that he will "have to keep you somewhere safe" or something like that and your Osprey teleports to Xen, where the G-Man leaves.

I, being a multi OS use and a multi console gamer realize the joy of being able to do all sorts of things on different platforms. Um yea, I don't really feel like typing anything else out because I'm tired and I haven't slept for a day and a half.

On another note, dang, I hadn't even thought of the possibility of Opposing Force 2. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't release one... might as well milk your products if you're only releasing them every 5 years.

No i loved the original HL well mayb not the trips to Xen and the like but every thing else was great.. I just cant think of anything new that they can put in the game... basically all the great ideas and challenges have already been drained, am i right? (personally id sudgest more Gordon vs. SpecOps/assassins battals perferably from helicopters =D ) Still, this just makes me even MORE curious whats in the game and i want to check it out first hand. Next, there wil be a PC version coming out too right? Will it still be in the original HL engine? Its self explanitary for Xbox... but is there a new engine yet?



And T, thanks for the heads up cus im still stuck at the final challenge in Oposing force... the one wth the so-called final boss in front of the portal which sprays you with acid... Il have to try again..

Head Hunter, to you bother to read the actual article, or the people's posts. There is all this talk of a new engine, gfx, and physics, but I guess its just the same engine.
