That kind of Web Cafe turned into a Lan Party is very common here in Brazil. DSL and cable are a little expensive for most people standarts (US$ 32/month) and these "Lan Houses" (that's the name down here) fix that problem.

Well, you pay US$ 1/hour to use the PCs, which is kind of dumb, really...

i dont like the white aswd, only because i dont use them to play, and i use my right thumb for the spacebar, not my left. would drive my crazy. i wish i could read what the buttons say that replace the old keyboard space. and yah, why is it in english...

I doubt it would come to north america (or anywhere other than Japan).... the market here is very different... The habits of people, economy, a lot of things are different here. For one, if they are to open these new CS Neo locations, where would they do so? Probably only in the big cities, Vancouver, New York, Toronto, Chicago, so on and so forth... a lot of people would complain if they lived a bit far from these places. In Japan they don't need to worry about it that much as Japan is a much smaller place.



And there are other potential problems too.... but.......

CSing in arcades arent new to meh... (go Singapore!) almost all arcades here have CS... (comps, not arcade machine) isnt it the same as LAN? :S



hmmm... y have those "special" machines to run CS? mayb NAMCO is cashing in eh?



btw, playin CS at arcades in my country cost an average of US$1... hmmm....
