CS 1.6: Weeks Away

To say that he uploaded picture proof to somethingawful is probably the one forum where photo proof is the least reliabe. Of course in the thread it turns out he didn't blur the card enough so that they could actually tell who it was but you didn't present your case properly. To merely say, "Someone on a photoshopping forum uploaded the business card of someone who works at VALVe to prove that the employee told them that 1.6 is coming out in two weeks." doesn't sound right unless you were to provide proof. In the thread it was proven because of the fact that they actually got all the real information out of it. If it had been blurred completely the first time through then it easily could have been bs. Like I said, you can't simply say he provided a business card as evidence. You need to explain why the evidence is valid.

Wow, 1.6 in 2 weeks, I wonder if thats enough time to get rid of the countless bugs in it right now that have plagued many of us beta players for months. One being the door on nuke not opening. Then theres the whole hitbox errors going on, but then again, thats nothing new to VALVe, they'll just fix those up with some even bigger hitbox errors.



Top things needed to be fix before release:

1) Netcode, its very screwed up right now.

2) Nuke door bug.

3) Deagle is about as accurate as autosniper when firing once every 1 second.

4) Autosnipers, gee, its been how many versions and they still don't compare to what they used to be.

5) Pump shotty needs its power back, but some morons at VALVe decided it needed to be toned down...

6) M4s domination in the game. Needs more recoil.

7) Shield has tons of flaws. Mainly doesn't do what its supposed to do.

8) Flashbang bug still exist.

9) Removal of enemy names. Can we say "exploit" when blinded or smoked?

10) Bullet accuracy in all. Why on earth would a person whos standing completely still in CS still miss by a mile?



I like 1.6 more than 1.4/5, but its currently way to unbalanced to be out in 2 weeks. Hell, they haven't released an update since March 3rd.

So does this imply that CS 1.6 is the multiplayer component of CZ, which is supposed to come out sometime this month or early June? At the current rate of new releases since version 1.0 it would seem a bit odd to release 1.6 then turn around and release 1.7 a week or two later.



Although that was the case during the early CS betas, being released days or weeks apart...
