I'm curious, how many servers have you set up under this system? You seem to be against every server company in existence and, hilariously enough, I have a feeling you have no experience with anything.
Actually I've supported the companies here. Sure I've occasonally complained of prices, but that's it.

I've successfully set up 2, 32 person Day of Defeat 3.1 servers with the ping hanging around 60-90ms.

Sure. You get to be the abusive admin, nah jk.

It's great because you can do whatever the hell you feel like. Host whatever game, etc, etc.

Also their copyright statement irks me :|

That's just it. It's a quote from a current customer.

Someone above said kids can run a sucessful game server business. While this may be true, what are you going to do when they screw up? They can't be held responsible for their actions and cannot legally sign contracts.

Note- I am a fan of CSAdmins.com so this might be a bit biased. No, I do not work for them.

          Let's look at that guarantee...

16 Player Public CS server in Virginia... 79.99. CSAdmins.com 16 player Public CS Server in New York... 65.00

Oh, but they have free web hosting! Ya, that runs $4.00 a month at CSAdmins. /me starts calculating. So you're up to $69 with CSAdmins (if a Brinkster.com page just don't cut it for ya).

Oh, but they have 24/7 technical support! I clicked on the link and saw "Create a support ticket". PS- try to find the name, phone number, e-mail address, AIM, ICQ UIN, etc of ANYONE working at this company on their website.

But they have low ping! "Game servers connected to multipe OC3s" as compared to CSAdmins "OC-192 And OC-48"

Anyone wanna tell them to live up to that guarantee? Sure, they are a paying sponsor, but... jeez. How about some truth in advertising? What are the terms of your guarantee? You believe in our bs or we go out of business?
Please have some knowledge of the industry before making comments.

"But they have low ping! "Game servers connected to multipe OC3s" as compared to CSAdmins "OC-192 And OC-48" "

The truth is, NO game server company is on their own lines. We buy space at a datacenter. No, CSAdmins cannot have an OC-192 line. Why? Because no datacenter in the world has one. Yes, these fibers do exist, but are only used as backbones.

I for one would like to say that EdgeGamer.com is a great server hosting company. My clan has just recently signed up with them and they have helped us out all the way. Always fast at getting stuff going and helping us out on the way. Would recommend them all the way. Their servers in Texas are awesome, I get no loss or choke and a 40 ping from colorado.

            Thanks EdgeGamer.

As if you would even need a T3 connection to host a 32 player CS server, sheesh. That's freaking ~45 megabits/sec, or roughly 5.3 megs per second. It's not like you need anything remotely close to that to handle 32 connections that are each maybe 12k/s or so. That's what, 384k/s of total bandwidth? Even with a comfortable margin, you're only needing say, 10% of the T3's capacity.

All this talk about using OC-48 and OC-192 connections is freaking ridiculous. Those are internet backbones, not "whee, I have a server" connections.

no offense but aren't Dual 2.4 GHz kinda out of date? I know the new computer I got about 2 months ago is 3.06GHz and I believe the 3.2Ghz are coming out within a week or so.

I've always been a big fan of the companies that support CSN and Rizzuh so as long as these guys provide quality hosting and are honest, something EdgeGamers post proves (yes most of us all know no company has an OC-192 or OC-256).

Anyway I guess my point is people like Paladin don't get that if his company wasn't so cheap, low-classly and pathetic and actually spent the few $ to advertise on CSN instead of being an asshole to all the CSN supporters they would have more customers.

So a word to the wise, support the following server companies:

                Edgegamers

                Griffinrun

                Artofwarcentral

                Phxx

                Game Extreme

Europe is more centralised? Please explain.

I'm sure that game server companies are run by teenagers........
Er, yes they are, I complained to one server company about it taking twelve days to process my cc payment, and haveing heard nothing despite my having paid already, I got mindless flames from their IRC 'support' room, from someone I later found to be half my age.

That's going to help when a server goes down 8) I'll just send them an e-mail! I'll send an AIM message that may or may not be received!

Give me names, phone numbers and addresses if you want to do business with me. Otherwise my money goes to someone who does. GG

Why do you assume email isn't answered. If the server is down, send in a support request and we'll have it back up. It's that simple.

Many game server companies are unprofessional and are often ran by teenagers,
                              prime example: www.vugaming.com

Look, nothing against you. I'm sure you are trying damn hard to make it work. But the "users" out there have been on the other end.

Server is having problems or just not running. Send an e-mail, no response, send another e-mail, no response. Without a definate way to get in touch, service suffers and the clients feel unwanted or neglected.

/me takes off the "nice guy" gloves.

Now, if your guarantee included "response to server problems within a half hour or your next month is free" it might be different, but I hear promises and guarantees and nothing put in definite terms of the business world.

If your guarantee was for "the lowest price AND the best level of service OR (insert terms of guarantee here)", it would be different, but I've already proven that wrong because you charge more than other companies out there. The fact that someone uses the word "guarantee" in this sense and simply overlooks the fact that the guarantee is worthless as it's worded ("no, no speaker, that's a guarantee on the lowest pricing for the top level of service... ie. has no measurement basis") offends me and takes advantage of those in this community who don't bother to read it and think about what they read. Maybe that's their stupid fault, but people getting ripped off isn't right and I enjoy going after the companies that do it.

You want to be a real business and get my clan and other clans' server contracts? Then have the lowest price and guarantee it in defined terms. Give us named people we can discuss problems with. Otherwise the guarantee part should be removed from your advertisements because you're not going to guarantee anything and probably are thinking "no, we'll send their money back if they have problems with us... guaranteed hahah w/e" And if you don't... who do we call? Where do we find you? Where do we send the Better Business Bureau to to make you live up to your guarantee you've already failed at so your customers all get their money back? Have the their attorneys e-mail support@edgegamer.com?

                                But you know this already.

Good luck with your venture. I hope you decide to go into business someday too.
