What the hell is the delay for now? There's no development going on, it's just sitting on sierra's desk.

But seriously, the way this game's development has been handled has got to be some of the worst decision making in the history of the video game industry.

I hope you don't care about your left nut then, cuz it won't be there for long with that bet.

Condition Zero development has been halted and given to 3D Realms and George Broussard for completion. It'll be out "When it's done."
We need more classic DNF references like this to keep things in perspective, lol. :)

That poll was taken at least a month ago. Before all of the Steam patches. I would argue that now Steam is as stable if not more than CS 1.5 and WON. As for my 0.01% comment; I might have over-stated, but I'm willing to bet there are still hundreds of thousands of CS players using Steam and are fairly satisfied with it. Anyone remember when a new major patch and version of CS was released? You would be lucky if you were able to download and install it within 5 hours of it being released. Now, you load Steam and all of the updates are installed in a matter of seconds. There are numerous other perks that come with Steam, but we just hear about it's downfalls more often because people like to complain. You can complain, just do it in a well thought out manner. Without flaming people and organizations such as Valve.
i completely agree, i wouldn't even attempt to dl a major patch within 2 days of its release because i know the lines for waiting to dl it would be horrendous!

I would of bought CS:CZ a year or so ago, little late now, I don't care about it at all anymore, if you play CS on Xbox you'll know that single player counter-strike is stupid, and what does CZ have that you would spend more then an hour playing? $50 = 1 hour entertainment. Could get a hell lot better entertainment for that much, and I think I don't need to go into details.

But seriously, what does CZ have that you would want to do? Play maps you don't know against stupid ass bots (even if they are that smart, whoopdy do, you pay 50 a month for broadband. Use it.) Oh and some new weapons? Since when does anyone in CS like having new weapons, that they can only use against stupid bots. I know the gameplay will boil down to me playing about 30 bots with a rocketlauncher, and seeing how many I can kill in one shot, then trying to painfully go through the campaigns, then eventually quit and only play it again just to show my friends how stupid it is.

I've had a grudge on CS:CZ as of late because I played CS:xbox and realized how stupid it was. If valve spent half the resources they've thrown around on "CZ" Half-Life 2 would out and CS 1.6 wouldn't have the stupid new guns. All it comes down to is CS:CZ having better graphics, but if its anything like CS, better graphics scare CS players off. Look at how much the community has shifted from aztec due to the graphics changes. I know TONS of people who can barely play the map due to inaccuracys in their shots (fps). It went from aztec the most popular map, and several aztec scrims a night, to basically the same thing now but with dust2.

                            Someday valve will grow brains

oh btw, I honestly WISH it was 6 months, try over a year or so. I remember "pre-ordering" it last year august, so that would be a year and 6 months ago, and it was suppose to comeout that month. They've been delaying it for even more then that, that was just the first of many. The funny thing is I was all happy because I'd be able to play CZ that summer while out of school. For help in perspective, I ordered "Global Operations" that same day.

The funny thing is, those dickheads at valve say they are listening to the community......

THIS IS THE FUCKING COMMUNITY! WHO THE FUCK IS LISTENING NOW?

I'm pretty sure this date will be final because I'm already seeing the CS:CZ strategy guide for sale in my local Virgin Records store.
