I agree completely. I don't care how bad the video is... almost any video is more entertaining than posting a bunch of "scores" of CAL-something and all those predictions that come along with it. However, you don't see us "casual" players spamming the comments with "we dont care it sucks" or the likes? No, instead I simply change my CS-N preferences so that I don't see all those scores and whatever they do now.

Now I can go on with my boring life and know that all you "pro" gamers can get your fix, while I am happily left out of the loop.

So now one of the "casual" gamers posts a video and you CAL-something guys don't get your "fix" off it? You seem to get really angry the way you're spouting your disgust. It reminds of that gamespy article that talked about why "pro gaming sucks." You seem to fall right into the stereotype which that article tried so hard to fit you into. Obviously there are many, many pro gamers that are mature individuals who don't deserve the negative comments that I'm saying, either. I'm sure they probably frown upon the immature people just as much as I do.

the fact is, we want to see the movies. therefore when something shitty like this is posted, it's just a waste of time for people to download, and what's worse, is right when it's posted, no one really knows that yet. im pretty sure if people could, they'd check off "newbie movies" but leave on "good movies" rofl. but we cant. so we're left to suffer for the low quality bs that keeps getting posted (most of the time).

I do believe this is the comments section, wether it be for positive or negative feedback. Who are any of you people to say we shouldnt judge this piece of shit film? if you people dont want to see negative comments, then dont click the comments link.. rofl

Very true. However, our rant was with your rejecting any movie as "crap" just because it's on a public server. For someone who "doesn't know what quality it is before actually viewing it", you seem to be pretty quick with that judgment before you even see it. That's all we're saying. Well, that and "remember that there are a lot of us out here who don't play competitively, for which public server footage is just fine."

Without the comments I would never have known that the movie sucked and would have downloaded this movie, wasting time. Comments like this are what I like to look for before waiting in FP lines for an hour and a half. Plus, if the person didn't want such publicity, they would never have released the movie to the public.. Thats how it goes, if you release something publicly then you better expect there to be criticism, especially on such a highly visited website such as csnation where many of the people are very vicious about such stuff.

that's fine, I was just stating my views and opinions.

However, our rant was with your rejecting any movie as "crap" just because it's on a public server.

I do admit, there are a few good movies (out of the plenty I've seen) that were shot on pubs. But most (from my experience) are crap. Such as the Nothing But Man series. Again, this is just my opinion.

yeah. but what im saying is the amount im dling from many sources. my school is connected to the uni core at 2gbps, the core is at 20gbps, and that core connects to 'janet' at 5gbps. (janet is the 40gbps backbone for unis in the uk).

Um yeah.. TFG, i don't think you're understanding our disgust for the video being posted on here. It's not that we don't want people making their own movies, and it's not that we would rather see cal-i scores, but we expect a certain quality to the site that GOOD movies (like yours of course) are posted. If CSN wants to post BAD movies, we can't exactly "uncheck" that box on our preferences. We also usually cannot tell if the movie IS bad until several days AFTER its posted when we read the flames. Trying to say that everyones dislike for the movie has to do with CAL-egos and such has nothing to do with it.

Just play it in DivX player, sometimes freezes/slows in windows media player for me even with DivX 5.05, player plays it fine though.

It should be difficult to penetrate the defense of a clan. On a public server, there is no such requirement and honestly it shows almost no skill on the recoder's side. CS is a team game and that should be reflected in skill movies.
