I agree with most of #30s (diablo)
Those movies SUCK, theres a difference between bad movies and just SO BAD ITS HARD TO WATCH. Seriously, some little kid running around in a pub server killing afks and lag-outs is not amazing, and shouldnt be posted on this fine site. A movie reviewer should review each movie and tell us a little bit about the movie. The reviewer should be critical and know cs fairly well, as well as other cs movies.
I'm sure plenty of people would volunteer including myself, considering CS movies are fairly popular among the CS community.Comment

Quite honestly, now that i think about it, i'd actually like to see CSN stop posting crap like this as news items, and i truly say this out of what little enthusiasm i have left for the game. This goes a bit beyond me just not liking them; i'd actually just prefer to see movies that are worth watching given a nod instead of just slapping the weekly waste of FilePlanet slots up there indiscriminately. There's the potential of subjective judgment there on the part of the news poster, but i think that as far as CS "movies" go currently, there's actually plenty of room for it.
Honestly, what are such "movies" trying to show? Skill, or at least what passes for it these days? What do they offer that i can't see just as easily, not to mention more consistently, by snagging some CPL championship demos? If it's a smattering of edited clips together, then they must happen pretty irregularly. How, then, is that considered skill instead of luck of the moment given the past history of "skill movies"? Other than Militia 2, where are the movies that specifically REQUIRE me to download it in .wmv format for a number of good reasons? Since when did people start buying 120 gig HDs and broadband for the sake of being able to store more oversized garbage?
I personally think that there's a few interesting things that could be done with CS "movies", and i don't think that they're going to come to the front or even be realized if any random idiot can slap complete crap together as inefficiently as possible and KNOW he'll get posted here. If anything, it's just encouraging mediocrity. Kind of like hiring more news posters. And why encourage mediocrity if you can, in some small way, encourage something better? This is already more of a diatribe beyond all decency, but is this really the best that the bulk of "movie" makers can come up with after nearly 4 years?Comment

Why not use BitTorrent ( http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ ) or eMule ( http://www.emule-project.net/ ) to transfer these files? These http-sites require registering, paying, and are just so slow.. Especially BitTorrent would be great everytime you post a link to a movie here at CS-Nation.Comment

well said but some skill movies are very well done they just need more audio syncing :)

At least they are entertaining if well made.Comment

Lol the first PG movie is horrible, so I'm not going to waste my time viewing the second. it's some newbie on a pub server with like 3000 plug-ins (including 1.3 jump plug-in, rofl). if that werent bad enough, all of the frags are no good what so ever.
the GB-Warden movie was pretty good. then again, most CAL-i movies are.
A skill movie can run on just good frags (in pcw/matches, mind you, not pubs). The PG movie had niether good frags or editing. the editing was especially horrible. I've made better movies in my sleep, and the readme says they spent months making the movie and alot of effort was put into it, rofl. Making a movie so shitty as that would take much less than a day.
Another thing.. i only skimmed over some comments, and i believe i saw someone say something like "why does CS-N keep posting shit like this?" and i would have to agree. The warden-type movies are great, but please, at least watch the movies before posting them up on a site that's viewed by soooo many people.

I'm gonna say one thing on this matter, learn how to use this http://csnation.counter-strike.net/memb...?action=prefs
Why get so angry at skill movies? Are you one of those people that get grumpy when you see happy people? Noticed yourself saying 'Bah Humbug' a lot?
Get a hobby, oh great king of judgementality on the world of internet.
Oh, when come back, bring pie.
Pie is good.Comment
