I didn't choose anything. A bad sound card, you're screwed. A bad video card, you're screwed unless you have a really kickass CPU. A bad CPU and you're totally screwed. A bad mouse and you're screwed. Personally, I have a bad mouse that skips like hell and spazzes out if I move it relatively fast, so I play like my grandmother in CS, reaction-wise.



Back to the point, though, there is no "best" component. You need 'em all.

The human eye can distinguish well over 200fps. I ask that you read the article at http://amo.net/NT/02-21-01FPS.html which proves your assumption as well as most people's to be wrong.

I think a good comfortable chair is the biggest advantage you can have. It's just common sense, people; if Mr. X's ass is bruised and aching and Mr. Y's is floating in cushion paradise, who do you think is going to have the upper-cheek?

Ive seen people play with bad mouses that do really bad. You have to get a laser laser mouse or whatever you call them.

omg bad video card and you can't hit anyone? i have geforce4 and i get 8 fps and it will never go up until i update my mother board and pentium 2..... btw. are you L7 | ??? from vices server??

my 2.53 ghz and radeon 9700 pro give me constant 100 fps so i have to say either of those but mainly video

1.CPU

2.Mouse (mx300 is good)

4. Decent sound card.

I tried that MX500 out at the store, and it was so comfortable. If I ever need another mouse, that'll be the one.
