MrBo wrote..Im so glad someone elese has noticed the obvious glitch with the awp. The scout doesnt bother me as bad because not everyone uses the scout. Ive seen guys shoot that damn awp semi automatic by switching weapons so fast i never even see the pistol or knife they switch to. Last time i checked you HAVE to cock a bolt action rifle to put a shell in the camber. I think they should make it where its likes the other guns in the game and reali life. You switch weapons in the middle of reloading, it doesnt reload. If you switch weapons after a awp shot, you cant fire again until after it has been cocked. Its a one shot weapon, they dont need to be able to shoot it that fast. Its a glitch that needs to be fixed cause im sick and tired of all the damn awpers.
Ok let me break it down so you can understand a very basic concept.
In previous versions the time it took to pull out and fire the awp is much less than the time it took between shots. Now, the time it takes to pull out and shoot an awp is about equal to the time it takes between shots. This prevents people from firing an awp faster than it was meant to be fired as well as giving them a speed boost between shots. Now, if you keep the awp out between shots there is no difference from last version. This means you have to be more accurate with your first shot.
On the scout complaints. In case people didnt already know, there is NO difference between running around with a scout and running around with a knife. If you pistol switched with the scout you ran slower. Dont switch to a pistol or knife after you fire a shot. Instead, just take another shot.
I'm sick of the people still complaining about awp delay. If you actually took the time to figure it out you'd realize these things yourself. But because you are bitter that you cant quick switch anymore you dont realize it.
I mean come on. They took the ONLY gun in the game that can get a 1 shot kill without being within 5 feet or hitting the head, and made you a little less manueverable and made you hit your first shot while using it. IT ISNT THAT BAD.

Sweet Nelly Furtada! Thank you, you've hit the nail on the head.
MikeJ wrote..it's funny you should say that because i was in a scrim during the update. steam restarted my comp and then i had to update and rejoin the scrim. hah!
By the way, you should actually play with the crosshairs in a scrim/pub instead of just looking at screenshots and or running around an empty listenserver before you pass judgment. You might actually like them, a lot.
Bokuho wrote..The reason people quickswitch is not to speed up their awp shooting. You're either delusional or lying because (pre-awp-cripple) you shot at exactly the same rate when you fired regularly and when you quickswitched. The reason behind the quickswitch is to:

As for the crosshair, nwo that Iv'e played with it some more in different suitations, I can safely say VALVe fooked up, big time. I don't give a damn if the high-res people want a small crosshair, this one is stupid. Let the high-res people have a small crosshair, let the low-res users have a big one. In other words, but it back to how it was before the last two updates.
VALVe need to listen to the old saying "don't try to fix what isn't broken". There was nothing wrong with the crosshair before, then they fucked over half the CS community. Then they changed it agian and fucked over the other half. Stop trying to be so damn 'up-to-date' and 'supportive', just give us our damn crosshairs back!
biff wrote..Because the community generally has no idea what they want.
Of all the things to change in the may 3rd update u change the crosshairs and hs icon -- WHAT ABOUT THE AWP? 20,000+ people want it back cliffe, why ignore us all?
