Counter-Strike2 is just another way of saying counter-strike:condition zero right?, it's not a seperate game now, is it ?
    No. Counter-Strike 2 is a sequel to Counter-Strike, not a single-player add on pack.

As far as anyone knows CS2 will be a stand alone game on the HL2 engine and will most likely be multiplayer only, or at least have most of its focus on multiplayer. It's all speculation at this point of course, but CS:CZ is not CS2.

Yep they are two different games. CS2 will likely run on the HL2 engine when it comes out in 2005 or so.

On the model issue I'd have to agree with Rizzuh. In the end all that matters is gameplay. They could have made Counter-Strike with cartoon characters but it would have still been a just plain fun game to play. Final Fantasy 6 uses sprite based graphics on a poor platform, but it's still a great member of it's genre.

Or maybe I'm just crazy :)~

            ahh, counter-strike 2 released in 2005, I'll be dead !!

From what rizzuh said, the models are not stabled and the globe missions story mode is boring and was rated lowest by magazines. You know what, forget Ritual's image, let's have VALVe create their very own new models and weapons. Each map's conditions have it's own set of costumes, like snowy, you have 5 sets of different arctic models. Also create their own models of the m60 machine gun and all the guns there is in counter-strike as well (modified and new sounds, so you get a different feeling to it.). How about that ?.

Will VALVe do it?, hmm CZ went gold already, so I guess these updates will be released in an later patch, maybe, depends on VALVe.

Make an option that says. "It is the same game we have been playing, why should I care?"

you got to encourage VALVe to create the new models and weapons (similiar to ritual's) before purchasing this game, if not, then do not buy this game at all. this is a MUST DO for condition zero, a "price-of-new-when-old" is not worth it, the cz maps are going public anyways, why bother, $40 for a bot features, please people don't give a rat's ass about single player, we were looking forward to the new models, weapons, equipment, and the graphics and effects, even if you guys were sticking with the old models, at least update the player/world models, jeesus, like you guys don't even give a shit..

Pretty manipulative to give three "it sucks or i dont like it" options and only one "i love it!" option, so that even though many more people don't like it than do, it seems as if everyone loves it based on the distribution of votes between the three negative options. Very sly... next time please add one option that is "indifferent" one that is "it is okay not amazing" etc. to even it out.

Well, I voted cheats upon release because I thought valve had more sense than to say they would be done by September when they weren't even close to being done.

I was dead wrong. Why god, Why?

You're looking at it incorrectly. While it is true that more people could be uncaring as to the release of CS:CZ, the circumstances around the answers are different. I know quite a few people (about 33%) that were really looking forward to it, but because of recent developments have lost interest. On the other hand, it's unfair to group people who never cared to begin with into that category, since that's not their opinion. And finally, those that don't even like the game and think it will completely suck get their option. If you're that concerned with the math, just add both of the apathetic choices together!

And it's also incorrect to assume I'm going to be a stock fanboy to all things hl/cs related simply because I post polls on a website. If you look at the past month or so, many of the poll results have shown the community opposing the topic. Shields, Steam, etc. have all been tested, so I wonder how it could be seen that I'd be trying to weasel out of a negative CS:CZ opinion. Of course, you could always look at the "common sense" picture and also realize that I get nothing out of people liking or disliking CS:CZ anyhow, since I get no pay for anything.

Maybe I'm just too sly for myself.

Well, it just seemed fairly suspicious because of the fact that the average user, reading the first and then second poll options, will assume that more people approve of CS:CZ and possibly be swayed by a sense of peer-pressure.

I don't know if you are influenced at all by rizzuh, but because of the fact that he was given "VIP" treatment, he would be more inclined to approve of the game. This is just human nature. If they had not let him test it, but rather allowed everyone to test it or no one to test it, his opinion once it was released or before hand would likely have been vastly different.

I mean, it does seem kind of strange how strongly this site supports CZ considering how... nothing it really is. BOTS were in existance during 1.6's BETA, so all they really added were fancy GUIs and boring missions. Oh, and new textures, which is kind of nice but really not worth paying for an entire new game. This CS:CZ seems like something that should have been released as a small patch to CS (I mean, 1.6 introduced more interesting changes than CZ will).
