Without the consoles the PC wouldn't have Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault since the first two MOH games were released on the Playstation and neither one of them was released on the PC. But EA always thought there should be a version on the PC as well, not because FPS are for the PC but because EA wanted to make some more money and I think we can all agree that MOH:AA is one of the best FPS on the PC but without the Playstation you wouldn't have that.

I hate 1.6 because of Steam. I absolutely hate Steam. That and my average fps drops around 20-30 frames per second with 1.6

CS on xbox is probably not gonna be as good graphic wise... as far as im concerned, i can care less about that...

Only thing in 1.6 that sucks, is the shield-bug. After playing it for a few hours and adapting to a bit different touch, it rocks. And remember, that cs always comes in pairs. After 1.0 we immediately got 1.1. 1.2 -> 1.3, and 1.4->1.5.

I don't think it'll take long before 1.7 comes out, with all bugs fixed. But with Steam and all, it might not be called 1.7

those who actually has xbox and actually plays xbos more than pc will prefer cs on xbox, because they're used to the console controllers with their thumbs.....don't think there's really a reason for 1.7 to come out, the bugs fix, they could just update without changing the version unless they make a change like changing recoil and misc stuff, more maps, and wads files...things like that

(There wasn't ever one -- it went straight from 1.1 to 1.3)



Along the lines of that hurricane article, isn't it racist for this to be called Steam? Afterall, steam is typically presented as a white mist of some sort in games. Perhaps there should be an alternate version called "Smoke" for other ethnic groups to play. In other words, yeah, some people are oversensitive about race, and are idiots in general.



Finally, as far as FPS games not being "meant" for consoles... did none of you ever play Goldeneye? Don't get me wrong, I think FPS games are much easier to control and more practicle on the computer than on the console, but that doesn't prevent me from having fun playing Halo if I feel like it, even if the controls are harder for me.

actually i think 1.2 came out, it just wasn't a huge enough patch so they just mixed it in with 1.3, but hell i started cs in 1.3 so i dont know

I like 1.6 its ok, it will take some adjusting, but people will like it eventually.
