is anyone else getting "error this game is unavailable right now plz try again later" when trying to play cs? is this just me or is it steam?

The shield -- if it's absolutely gotta stay -- needs to be balanced with something that'll take it out without having to go lame with an AWP, say, an RPG for the Ts. At this rate, unfortunately, CS will turn into Quake before you know it.



And I sure hope that someone's already on creating a proper-name-for-the-weapons patch.

You simply tap your jump key whilst pointing down and firing...You *always* will get a headshot.

Don't see why they dont make some kind of durability to it where if you get shot (over time) with X amount of damage then it auto-puts it away, and not allow you to redeploy it for a solid 2 or 3 seconds. Theres only so much punishment one arm can take, you know?

did you know u can actually shield yourself by turning urself at an angle to the opponent? so u never have to even deploy the stupidass shield.

Also, I feel that the new cobble is very very nice. A lot more eye candy, and the layout hasn't changed too much. And even the new layout changes are for the better imo. Well done.

This poll sucks.

I like Steam, I hate that it's buggy and slow as fuck, but once it gets cleaned up, it'll be okay. I like 1.6, I like the new guns and the improved netcode, but I HATE the shield. In order for it to be balanced, you should have to move the shield ALL THE WAY TO THE SIDE, because sometimes it doesn't work correctly, you can't shoot the person when you should be able to. And if a rifle can shoot through...

The Tactical Shield was specially designed to stop bullets a plywood wall was not.

surely if theyre turned to the side they arent shooting at you. so they waddle all the way up to you and then you move 2 feet to the left and shoot them?



edit: ahah aha i had my first 1.6 game just now. shield is funny, 3 ppl emptied ak at me and I just usp all of them while they reload yeah its unbalanced. but i found it pretty easy to kill them when they had it; its only unbalanced cus u keep firing at something you cant shoot so ppls common sense tells them to keep shooting then their acc goes downhill and they think theyre losing so they complain so they call the game unbalanced so they can feel better.



SOLUTION TO BULLETS NOT GOING THROUGH SHIELD: dont shoot the shield. be a ninja, trickjump your way around until they run in front of you and glock those little whiney bitchez. and I mean the majority 13yo american population :P
