I have mixed opinions about such things, as warez can be a nice "try before you buy" option, but unfortunately, I know there's a lot of people who won't go out and support the developers if they find a game worth playing to the end. If you get bored half way through and quit... fine, I don't care, delete the stupid thing and don't waste your time or your money. Good enough to finish, pay for it eh? Otherwise you'll just see less and less good games coming out, as the profit margins suffer.



Obviously, windows operating systems are excluded from this thought of paying to support them.

I cant get alt tab to work onn my xp computer, If I do that I lose soudn when I return an occasionally I get a crash, or alternately A device failure of my Titanium Graphics Card?? So I need the overlay..

Couodnt Valve allow a 30 sec delay versuionof IRC to be intergrated, people wouldnt get stressed about the delay, and that delay would prevent cheating...If the the chat messages were somehow kept on the game server before being released?

Mayb there would be privacy issues there.. Dont know really, but as a new comer to irc I haev to say It is damned useful, particulalr,y for keeping track of clan members, adn It can be a pain to alt tab, and lose your game, or worse still get timed out..:<

Actually, it depends on the store. Also depends on which shameless repackaging the store is selling. SP is SP; It lasts only so long, and it sure as hell isn't what justifies a 2nd revision of HL Platinum. HL belongs in the bargain bin with other - better - SP games that didn't have the luxury of leeching off of CS.

There are plenty of people willing to pay, sometimes UNwillingly. Fresh warez can be a pain in the ass to get. Developers need to worry less about warez and more about not making crappy and/or short SP games.

I paid 60 bucks for the Platinum version, and now it's 40 AND comes with Blue Shift. That sucks.

About that trojan, I think it's funny. He got put up on symantic, and they've got his msn account and some of his webspace. One can only imagine if someone got to him, or if he's now cowering in fear of legal woes.

So you paid more to play it earlier. Sounds fair to me. I have the original half-life box that I bought long time ago. Besides, blue shift sucks.
